I can't pick just one of their songs as a favorite.  I loved them all.  They were my "hot band" as I was easing into my teen years.

The Help was very good and also Hunger Games.  I'm reading the second book, Catching Fire, from the Hunger Games trilogy.  That movies is already being made too.

I prefer to brew my own. I can't justify paying $5 for a cup of coffee.

I'm with you on that and there are so many good recipes out there to try.  However, I'm satisfied with a cup of coffee, poured over ice with some flavored coffee mate.

Holiday wishes to everyone.  My father and uncle served in WWII.  They were both very proud of the part they took.  My family line has fought in every war from WWII to the Revolution.   I always honor those who have fought for our freedom and the freedom of others. However, I don't believe in war if it is avoidable.

I've tried to simplify and not collect much but I admit to a few things I can't pass up .... hourglasses, yarn and kittens.

I prefer kayaking down a fairly fast flowing river where the water is just shallow enough to see the bottom.  I like seeing the fish and just relaxing and only having to steer the kayak.  Sometimes though I like finding a lake where there isn't a lot of current where you can row out and then just lay in the sun and read or snooze.

It all depends on what is available for water.  Just being on the water is a joy no matter what by my main problem is being able to load the kayak into a vehicle and having a drop off and pick up spot.  At a lake you can launch and depart at the same spot.

Any other kayakers out there?  I'd like to hear about your most common kayaking trips.  Do you prefer river, lake, ocean?

It was a beautiful day in NW PA.  We took our kayaks for about a 5 mile trip down river.  We saw lots of ducks, geese, a couple of groundhogs and several blue heron.  I want to see an otter though!  Any other kayakers out there?

I'm going to sit this out too.  Juanita if you have enough information to contact me on FB please do.  We can share email addresses from there and perhaps you, Julie and I can hook up elsewhere to chat.

Falcon,

Julie is right.  I'm not typically a rude, mean person and I usually hold my tongue when others are rude...however, I am a force to be reckoned with when I choose.  My advice to you is stay off this blog unless you have something construction, productive or kind to share.  Otherwise, additional rude posts will be reported and you will be ignored.  Bullies usually don't have much to say when their loud words fall on their ears alone.  The silence becomes deafening.

My advice to Julie and Juanita is to do the same...report and ignore.

I'm writing this ... blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ...

[-this response initiated by "loulizlee/Jaunita" spamming another thread out-of-the-blue so before you whine, attribute this first time interruption of this thread to "loulizlee" and be sure to thank her-]

Falcon9, if you want to participate in this thread of golotomer's, you are more than welcome to.  However, to spam a thread just to follow loulizlee and try to make a certain point, is wrong and starting trouble.  If you have a problem with her, take it up with her in the other thread.  It's not "whining" to say this to you, either.  Just knock it off please and keep it out of here.  Thank you.

Prayers going out to your family.  Keep us updated.  I'm sorry you are going through all of this trouble and not feeling well too.  You are right ...stress is probably the biggest part of the problem.

Hi Guys,

I'm writing this on Sunday morning when I'm usually in church, but I haven't been feeling well the past few days.  I think most of it is stress from everything that is going on.  I'm getting updates about my sister from my niece, who is looking after her mother and stepfather.  Please say a prayer for her, too. She has a lot on her.  She says my sister was given a regular room because she may be in  the hospital for a few days.  They put in a pic line so they can give her all her meds through that, and they also put in a catheter so she can be in bed as much as possible.  I'll keep you updated.

Julie, I hope your brother-in-law is doing better.  Please let me know how he is doing, also.

Juanita
