Oh, Kohler! You did not make this promotion appear on the first page under current contest like you usually do. That was a little unfair! I think I'm a little too late.

You were not to late.  Your name is on the list and there are still 19 spots on the list until it hits the number 50

Would you rather be the most gorgeous person in the world with a low IQ or the smartest person in the world but look like a troll?

I would go for the smartest person who looks like a troll.
Plastic surgery.  ;)

Well, that is tough question  :dontknow:  I have been to both of them plenty of times.  I live in NC right now and we go the beach (Atlantic) about once a month.  The water is colder in the Atlantic than it is in the Pacific.  I also use to live in Hawaii (four years) and the Pacific was so warm.  So, to answer your question, I guess I have to go with the Pacific because the water is much warmer.  However, I like the Atlantic waters for fishing.  The fish are so much better eating when they come from the cold waters of the Atlantic.  But, again, the Pacific is my number one choice.

I say my prayers and ask the Lord, "I pray the Lord my soul to keep."  I thank him for all I have and ask him to make me a much better person.  I would hate to go to bed without talking to the Lord should I not awake in the morning.

I like Chicago, but after what the fans did during the playing of the National Anthem last week, I am going for the Packers to beat the **** out of the Bears.  If the fans behave themselves, placing their hands over their hearts and not yelling during the playing of the anthem, I think the Bears can win.

I personally have three credit unions and one regular bank accounts.  And to be quite honest with you, I only really use one of them on a regular basis.  Now in days, especially with all of the bank failures, I think it is a very good idea to have more than just one bank.  It protects my money and as one person already stated, it makes a bank work hard for more of my business/money.  Great question!!

Been at many-a-sporting event, and there's always some drunk yahoos doing that.

The next time that the national anthem is played and you consider it routine, remember what the red stripes on Old Glory mean. Many thousands of Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice for that flag, and the least that anyone can do is shut up for the 90-some-odd seconds that it takes to play the anthem.

I think you said it a whole lot better than I did.  You are a true American!

I believe FC does all they can do to help us earn money.  Trust me, if they could make more money by having more advertisers join their site and agree to pay FC members a couple of cents, they would do it.  FC makes their money from advertisers and from us by buying advertisers products.  The more advertisers, the more we could make.

I totally agree with you, it was VERY disrespectful. You should ALWAYS show respect during the National Anthem with silence and your hand over your heart, regardless of the situation.

Jorhea,

Thanks!  I wasn't sure there would be anyone else that agreed with me.

You do have a life and you choose to have FC as part of it.  Most of us here feel the same way.  I love coming here a couple of times a day and seeing what has been posted.  Believe it or not, I actually learn some things by reading some of the posts.  Good luck on on finding a job.

Off-Topic / Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks Playoff Game

During the game yesterday, a majority of the fans were screaming and yelling during the playing/singing of our National Anthem.  A lot of news articles out there are saying that it was very dis-courteous of the fans for behaving that way during the singing of the anthem.  Other articles say that the fans were just yelling and screaming because of the event and the fact that the guy who sang the anthem was outstanding.  I, myself, believe the fans were totally wrong in yelling and screaming.  They should have shown respect by standing still and placing their hand over their heart.

What do you think?

I am really mad about this.  I was a Sagitarious, now I am something no one has ever heard of.  I am now a Ophiuchus, the serpent holder.  What the hell is that?  I am just keep telling myself and everyone else that I am still a Sagitarious.

Wow, tough question.  Like you I think I've been to all of the big ones in the U.S..  But, in my humble opinion, I have never found any that compare to the super duper high speed trains that I have used on occassions in both Korea and China.  I guess Korea's is my favorite because of their safety record and availability of first class seats at very reasonable prices.  China would be next because of the brand new super fast train they have just introduced.  China's trains are so clean, that you could eat your lunch on the floors and think that you are at a five star hotel.  Additionally, the ratio of riders to hostesess is like 2 - 1.
