Offers / Re: Make sure you're up to date with your virus and spyware defs!

Good reminder. My defenses went crazy when I went to the Bing Toolbar download site too, so I backed off.

My arsenal includes Firefox, AVG, ZoneAlarm, then regular sweeps with CCleaner, Advanced System Care, Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Ashampoo Startup Tuner. I've spent countless hours disinfecting friends' computers and am definitely of the opinion that a pound of prevention beats a ton of cure!

Offers / Re: Victims of WOZO.COM

When you say it's against the rules to slam an offer, I assume it's OK to share negative experiences, right? Just can't be vicious? I really rely on others' experiences before trying a Pay-To-Try offer, and use a pre-paid debit card with a low balance in case there are problems. (And yes, based on my research here, the prepaid cards ARE legal when doing offers here; it's the gift cards/fixed-denomination cards that are against the rules.) Let me know if I'm wrong - would hate to get kicked outta here!  ;D

With Wozo, there's only four days in the free trial period and I was credited pretty quickly.

I completed an offer called wozo.com which had reward of $6....but later it turned out to be a night mare...I had used my card to purchase a poster for 99 cents...which i din receive at all and later I see that my card is charged for $29.99 without my consent. People please beware of all ur online transactions... u will be ripped off... Have not got any response from the customer service as well.. they say it was charged as a subscription fee.. which i don even know for wat have i got subscribed to...Do not complete any offers which asks u for credit card details... they r all fraud.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!

Never credited on $1.50 Audible.com and since I did it through the regular page (not offers) my support ticket was immediately closed with the "Sorry, we don't get paid if you don't get paid..." response. I may do it through the Offers page too and see what happens. If it makes a difference, I used my existing Amazon account. Good luck to others.

Offers / Re: Easy new offer!

I watched the video, and then clicked on the link to download the toolbar file. A new window opened and the following message flashed on my browser"

"This website is suspicious. Leave now unless you know this site is safe."

The link also states: "To continue, press the button above. Installing the toolbar includes managing the browser default search settings and setting your homepage to bing.com."

I downloaded the file (as offer requires) but am very wary of running the file for safety reasons and because I was reluctant to screw up my browser settings. Haven't gotten credit from FC yet. Did you all go through with installing the toolbar?
