Off-Topic / Re: How to establish a credit history
« on: October 12, 2011, 09:36:38 pm »Message ID: 431502
I think having no credit is just about as bad as having bad credit.  I'm have bad credit & am trying to improve my score (got my score for free at creditkarma.com (transunion) and quizzle.com (equifax or experian - can't remember which)  I found out there is a girl that lives 30 miles from me with the same nam (I have an unusual French last name) and her stuff was on my credit report.  There were numerous books at the local library about how to improve my credit report, dispute errors, raise my score etc.  Those combined with the websites I mentioned are pretty helpful.  Good luck!

Off-Topic / Re: when was the last time you traveled by plane? Airport security?

I've never been on a plane before IN MY LIFE!  I've taken people to the airport though & have seen all the security.  I don't think I'd like to go thru that at all.  I've also heard the horror stories on the new about people basically being violated by going thru security at the airport.  Just makes me want to drive everywhere.

Off-Topic / Re: Who did you get along with the best between your parents

I'm a daddy's girl all the way.  Never really got along with mom.  But when dad died (10 years ago)  Mom and I started getting along (a few years after he passed though)  Now I regret all that time we didn't spend together.  But I'm making up for it now....I'm her caregiver and she depends on my for everything since she can no longer care for herself.  We've become real close - I wish we'd always been like that but i'll sure take it now.

I'm new too and just made enough for my 1st cashout.  I mainly do the paid to click (read the instructions all the way at the bottom - it took me 2 weeks to figure out how to get them to credit) I also watch videos and do the daily email.  I dont usually qualify for the surveys and I don't do anything that asks for a credit card.  took about 3 weeks or so to get up to the $25 to cashout.  I also just learned (yesterday) about the game bonuses and the weekly extra contests so I do those now too.  Good Luck.  you probably won't get rich here but at least you'll have a little extra cash in your pocket.

Off-Topic / Re: Home Phone Service?
« on: October 12, 2011, 09:21:53 pm »Message ID: 431494
I had the phone, internet & cable package thru Comcast but after 12months, they jacked up the price. Now I pay only for cable with them & it's the same price that I used to pay for all 3!  Feel like I'm getting duped & am looking at other alternatives.  But I don't have home phone service since all 4 of us have cell phones.  And I keep a free prepaid cell phone at the house as well just in case I forget the pay the cell phone bill (we're all on the same plan so if 1 is off, they're all off)  My mom is ill & must have a phone near her at all times so this works well for us with no home phone (extra bill) necessary.

I wish I could clone myself because there are not enough hours in the day for me to do everything & I can't be in 2 places at once.  On a more realistic note though, I wish I could provide better for my family - we don't have to be rich but we'd like to own our own home, send my sister off to college (she wants to be a police officer) have a couple of DEPENDABLE vehicles - just for us to be comfortable not extravagant.  I also wish I could cure my mom's health problems - I hate to see her suffer the way she does.  But at least I am able to care for her & she knows I'm there for her.  I think I have finally taught her the importance of family!

I don't drink water...I'm more of a mountain dew girl myself.  But I think water is water whether it's in a bottle or from the tap.

I think there are too many abbreviations that people use nowadays.  OMG, LOL, TTYL, TY, WTF.  sometimes I can't even figure out what they mean!

I happen to like FB but I'm not a fan of the recent changes.  Pretty soon, I think it's going to go the way of MySpace and everyone will start using another site like Google+, LinkedIn or whatever.  Then when those get old, we'll move on to something new.

Today is ok. I try to stay positive & upbeat to set an example for those around me.  Although sometimes I get overwhelmed & nearly breakdown...it doesn't happen often.  As long as I'm alive, it's a good day :)

I wouldn't put stickers (like bumper stickers) on a luxury car but if by decals you mean pinstriping etc...I might have to put some flames or something on it if it was a luxury sports car.

I'm not sure.  Sometimes I do & sometimes it doesn't seem possible.  Although I like to watch movies about them...like Race to Witch Mountain.
