Off-Topic / back after long hiatus
« on: March 12, 2023, 09:27:51 am »Message ID: 1374625
Hey everyone! I'm just getting back on here after being gone for quite some time (a couple of years I think). How is everyone doing? I moved for grad school and that's been taking up all of my time, but now I want to dedicate time back to fusion cash since I enjoyed it so much. Gotta get back into the swing of things now.

Any one else also take a long break and then return?

I plan to submit mine too since I'll have 30 posts by the end of December. Doesn't hurt to do it in case they do make a comeback one day.

Wait.... did they stop the forum bonus??? I was hoping to submit for december. Oh well.

I sometimes feel bad for them. It's quite clear to see that the original post is many years old. I hope they figure it out sooner rather than later.

I am happy they know who did it, now they just have to figure out why.

Oh, I didn't hear that they figured out who. How do they know?

Is anyone here a fan or player/ex player of college women's basketball? I know plenty of people who have played/are playing, and have played myself.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Reopening States and COVID-19

If they open part of the state you know that people will travel to those parts.  I will stay at home and try to keep others safe while I am trying to keep myself safe

Are you infected?  Unless you have this virus you are not keeping people safe by staying home. You can do what ever you want to and that is fine. But I am so sick of hearing how "I" need to wear a mask to keep others safe. "I" am NOT sick so me wearing a mask is not going to keep you safe. YOU wear a mask to keep you safe.  I agree with linderlizzie this crapola has got to stop.

Actually, you are keeping people safe by staying home because you are reducing the risk of catching the virus and spreading it to people. I understand having to go our for necessities or to be physically distanced and masked and seeing friends hopefully outdoors, but to go outside *bleep* nilly and say it doesn't matter for you to wear a mask is just wrong. the masks protect others. don't be selfish.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Defunding and abolishing Police Departments
« on: December 28, 2020, 05:40:37 pm »Message ID: 1347515
I used to work as a budget analyst for the federal government.  I have also worked for state and city government organizations.  Whether you know it or not, funds are reprogrammed or transferred often between various government organizations.  It's a SOAPP (Standard Operational and Administrative Policy and Procedure).

It's just that when an average American citizen hears the words “DEFUND THE POLICE”, they go into panic mode and think that when they dial 9-1-1  … The Calvary won't show up to save them!

It's not that drastic.  In fact, it's not like that at all.  Government officials are not that stupid!!

By the way defund is absolutely not the same thing as abolish.
~ America abolished slavery.  Nobody is asking to abolish the police departments!

The fact that “somebody” decided to yell the words “Defund The Police” in a crowd of angry protesters at least it put “something” on the table … i.e. a proposed solution, if you will,  to deal with a real serious deadly problem!  I don't know if Minnesota's approach will work.  But the “ones in charge” can't keep sweeping The Problem under the rug.  They ... We ... need to approach this matter, give it serious thought and planning, and come up with solution for the entire community.

Because “IT” happens too many times!

People should not be afraid of the police who are supposed to serve and protect them.

Police should not believe that they can get away with murdering a citizen because they can write it up as in the line of duty.

slavery wasn't actually abolished. modern day slavery very much exists with prison labor.

If only people would wear a mask and stop traveling so much..... Government needs to pay people to stay home and then it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I rarely qualify for surveys, so basically only getting 2 cents for reading emails will take forever.  I still try them, but getting disqualified and getting the penny doesn’t amount to much either.  It’s sad, I’ve been here for years and it was always one of my favorite.

I would try the tap survey ones. They tend to have better luck with qualifications! good luck  :moneymouth:

Has anyone ordered a puppicino from starbucks before? I feel weird going there to ask for it. I also wouldn't mind just having it for myself. I like whipped cream.
