Payments / Anyone who gets paid by check?

anyone here that gets paid by check I have a question.  My cashout has already been approved and it says that the check was printed on December 6th.  For those of you who have been paid by check in the past how long does it usually take for the check to arrive.  It says allow up to 14 days, I am just wondering if it actually takes the 14 days or if it is only like a few days, thanks in advance for any help.  I am just hoping to get my check before christmas.
