Does anyone suffer from BP problems where your BP shoots up when you stand but is normal when you lay? How do you manage this? Any advice?

Tis the season for one of my favorite beverages. Eggnog! I know it is sort of a love it or hate it item, but I LOVE the stuff. Brands are not all created equal however. I have mostly gravitated towards Barbers because some of the others have been NOT good.

Anyone have tips to stay sane while on bed rest? It was unexpected, so I didnt plan for things like books, magazines, snacks, etc. I am literally moment to moment with this.

Anyone ever dealt with a cervical sprain from whiplash (i was rear ended). I am wondering how long it takes to get back to feeling relatively normal. Blurry vision, numbness and tingling here and there, sore neck and jaw muscles, etc.

Off-Topic / Cat health problems. Advice?

Hello  owners,

My cat is 14 years old and he had bad news at the Vet. What I thought was an injury to his leg is actually terrible arthritis through all his joints, pelvis, spine, etc. There are fusions and bone spurs everywhere.

Anyone have experience treating a cat with this problem? The doc doesnt want to go NSAIDS because he is starting to develop kidney problems as well.

He is still playful and eating, doesnt seem bothered by his joints.

What do you do on the weekends in summer, especially when it is 90+ degrees? I cant get out in the heat, so I end up cleaning or working, window shopping or something.

I know i overpay for amazon prime for what I actually get. People love the 2 day shipping but you pay for it in the jacked up prices for the items you buy. I do not understand how amazon makes it with their ridiculous pricing! I saw kelly rippa making fun of prime day on tv. She was right to do so, i didnt see anything that i couldnt get for the same or cheaper price somewhere else and one product i was "watching" cancelled as a deal.

I told myself i would keep it for the music. But you cant even burn the music! You can listen to it through an app that you can download, but you cant actually "own" the music like when you buy it.

Off-Topic / Sun dresses at a funeral?

Maybe it is just me, but when did it become okay to wear short dresses (inches above the knee) or sundresses and off the shoulder dresses to a funeral?? I didn't even think you were really supposed to wear bright colors much less big wedge sandals and spaghetti strap fit and flare dresses meant for the lake. And, these are not even young adults pulling off these looks at recent funerals I attended, these are adults ranging from 30s to 50s?

I also noticed men wearing dress shorts and polos. I get not wearing a suit when it is hot but still, that seems very dressed down to me.

Have things changed?

It has been a heck of a month. Funerals, work, illness, doctor visits, relatives staying with me. I dont even know where June went! Anyone else dealing with way too much and losing track of time?

Anyone grilling today? What is your favorite thing to throw on the grill? Do you have a gas/propane grill or go the charcoal route?

I just grilled hot dogs on my gas grill. I LOVE corn on the cob off the grill!
