Off-Topic / I`m Back

Been a while since I`ve been here any changes I need to know about. Since here last, my father has passed away, and a good friend is in hospital with stage 4 cancer. But the rest of the family is doing ok everyone is living and getting ok somewhat. Gas prices are ridiculously high, takes just about all my pay to go to the grocery store and the cost of my pet food went sky high.

So I shocked the pool just have to vacuum, my intentions were to get it cleaned cover it, and wait but now it's raining and i wasted chemicals . I am having a hard time finding my filters our Walmart never carries them and this is the only dept store in our town besidesT.J. max and they don't carry them. Any suggestions on a website I ordered some but they cheap paper ones.

I have two male rabbits in the same cage thought there was a divider but an older rabbit chewed it and they are together the baby is about a year old, should I worry, or do you think they will be ok being in the same cage for about a week seen no signs of aggression but they are outside.

We have a cat she is about two refuses to go outside, doesn't like kids, and runs from everyone except me, and terrified of my husband. She has eaten all the kid's hampsters .my 11-year-old granddaughter brought her here and now she wants her to go. My thought is she is only doing what a cat is supposed to do and she loves me and comes right to me but the kid that brought her here wants me to get rid of her. How do I teach my kids you can't get rid of an animal just because you want another one. Any thoughts? I should mention the main reason we let them have the cats is that we live near woods and had a lot of mice. Please no critics! I know I'm the adult and have the final say but curious has to other opinions?

So we went from rain, snow, ice, rain, snow, ice, and back to rain. Having a hard time decided which I dislike the most. Snow and ice pretty, but dangerous. Rain is warmer but messy.

So all my little ones went to school today. They were so excited when they came home just to be able to go and see other kids meant a great deal and the ones who usually don't work at home worked their little buts off. Now just pray for continued safety.

I have heard so many different things said about teachers and the pandemic, my personal opinion is it should be the teacher's decision if she or he wants to go back to the classroom it is there and their families health to consider also. I Don't think they should be forced or threatened{but opinions are like a**holes everyone has one }So please try to be civil when you post

Stress level is high 5 kids in virtual school and two over 10 who refuses to do book and computer work they are going to fail and I am just tired of fighting with them , the possibility of going back to school for Lil ones. Not sure how I feel worried about kids getting sick. But I was not made to be a teacher. I have whole new respect for teachers.

Sitting here waiting to hear from Comcast to see if able to get it in my area , seems like I`m always waiting on something this is just crazy, they have to make a construction ticket ( i think that means they have to survey and see what needs to be done to install) we are a good distance from the main road and away from any telephone poles

Just don't understand, I am not unemployed but I have no work cant receive any kind of compensation because my job is direct mail/homework help but I pay a tremendous amount of taxes and oasdi is even taken out so what am I suppose to do for an income this stimulus check will help but not going to last forever, especially considering I am temporarily raising two grandkids one 5 the other 15, with no child support mom is locked up and dad is not involved
