Off-Topic / On Digital Storage
« on: June 12, 2011, 01:19:34 pm »Message ID: 369262
Is anybody else amazed at how cheap digital storage space is nowadays? Not to long ago I saw a 2TB hard drive on Newegg for $50 :o I mean wow, really wow. I remember when a 256mb flash drive was $40, and that wasnt that long ago... anybody remember how expensive those 1.44mb floppy disks were back when they were new?

but look at that difference, the flash drive back then was about $160/1GB and now that 2TB hard drive is $.025/1GB!

Is anyone here a game dev? I'm going to school right now for Game Art and Design and I was wondering if anyone here had any sort of interest in making games. Or if anybody had some resources us game devs could use or learn from

Off-Topic / Eating Alkaline ... Cheaply
« on: August 21, 2010, 12:44:57 am »Message ID: 223792
Does anyone know of some inexpensive alkaline foods?

For those who don't know (because it isn't often addressed by the American medical racket) your body has a pH level. A totally healthy body has a slightly alkaline pH. But most of the foods we eat (ie. Meat, bread, coffee, all junk foods) acidify your body. (Meat and bread not so much, but all foods that contain odd chemicals in the ingredients are extremely acidic) Anyway those acidic foods constantly lower a body's pH towards acidic levels. And an acidic body is fatter, retains water, mentally and physically slower, has lower energy, a weaker immune system, and is also related to things like migraines, high blood-pressure, and many medical problems (but the American hospitals treat the symptoms of these diseases instead of the source, the body's pH).

I could go on and on about how America is one of the most unhealthy countries in the world because the US medical system is designed to keep its population sick enough to be on medications to treat the side-effects of other medications but not sick enough to die. If you were dead, who would pay pharmaceutical companies for their overpriced disease-prolonging pills. :BangHead: Another time perhaps.

Anyway, the most basic way to a slimmer, stronger, healthier body is to eat alkaline foods instead of acidic ones. So anyone know of some tasty yet inexpensive alkaline foods/ recipes I could try?

Debate & Discuss / Religion and Homosexuality

I have a question and I was wondering if someone who knows the Bible inside and out could answer it for me:

Why are there religious groups that say "God hates fags"? If God created humans and didn't want any of them to be gay why did he make some of them gay? And if you believe that homosexuality is a choice why did he give humans the ability to choose to be gay?

Has anyone heard of it? Well its pretty awesome I signed up for the free trial which lets you play forever with limited features. Its a futuristic shooter mmo made by an inde company. There are matches you can enter to level up and gain loot and they are very similar to Team Fortress 2 except you have jet-packs and everything is futuristic and slick looking, not cartoonish. They also have an open world zone in which you can complete missions and follow story lines just like any other mmo except you get high energy 3rd person shooter gameplay.

Its a lot of fun if you are a gamer I highly suggest you check it out. You can make a demo account for free and if you like it you can purchase the full game. Oh and another great feature is that you only buy the game once, there is no subscription fee or item mall.

Off-Topic / Anyone here a game artist or 3D artist?
« on: June 13, 2010, 07:31:15 pm »Message ID: 191604
Anyone who is should definitely check out Sculptris.  Even if you aren't an artist it might be fun to try it out, just search Sculptris and you'll find it.  Anyway, I was super stoked when my friend told me about this.  It is basically ZBrush for free!  Its great for making highly detailed models, uses simple click and drag interface, you can paint the model right there in the program.  Just all around a great modeling tool.

Support / Question About ToS

In the terms of service it says that posting an offer guide or walkthrough will get your account terminated.  What I was wondering is: would it be ok to write a guide of fusion cash navigation like "how to get to the 15 cent ptc offer" or otherwise showing people their options on the site but not showing a step by step on how to get credited. Would that be ok?
