Debate & Discuss / Patriot Act Extension
« on: February 16, 2011, 07:54:09 am »Message ID: 314521
What do you guys here feel about the extension of the Patriot Act that passed the house and is soon to be up for vote in the senate?

I have my own opinon but I wanted to hear what you guys thought.

Me? I think it's an unconstitutional act and it violates our 4th Ammendment rights. There are a few who are fighting hard against it, but it seems like status quo to vote for it.

What pisses me off the most is there are some politicians who ran in the previous election cycle on a platform of shrinking government, yet it seems that only one person is actually living up to that platform.

Off-Topic / Happy Birthday!
« on: November 10, 2010, 09:05:40 am »Message ID: 267314
Today marks, in my opinon, one of the most important days in American history.

To all my brothers and sisters out there, past and present, I wish you a very happy birthday!

On November 10, 1775, a Corps of Marines was created by a resolution of the Continental Congress. Since that date many thousands of men have borne that name Marine. In memory of them it is fitting that we who are Marines should commemorate the Birthday of our Corps by calling to mind the glories of its long and illustrious history.

The record of our Corps is one which bear comparison with that of the most famous military organizations in the world's history. During 90 of the 146 years of its existence the Marine Corps has been in action against the Nation's foes. From the Battle of Trenton to the Argonne, Marines have won foremost honors in war and in the long era of tranquility at home generation after generation of Marines have grown gray in war in both hemispheres, and in every corner of the seven seas so that our country and its citizens might enjoy peace and security.

In every battle and skirmish since the Birth of the Corps, Marines have acquitted themselves with the greatest distinction, winning new honors on each occasion until the term "Marine" has come to signify all that is highest in military efficiency and soldierly virtue.

This high name of distinction and soldierly repute we who are Marines today have received from those who preceded us in the Corps. With it we also received from them the eternal spirit which has animated our Corps from generation and has long been the distinguishing mark of Marines in every age. So long as that spirit continues to flourish Marines will be found equal to every emergency in the future as they have been in the past, and the me of our nation will regard us as worthy successors to the long line of illustrious men who have served as "Soldiers of the Sea" since the founding of the Corps."

For all of you people out there that follow economics / politics, this should be astounding news to anyone out there. One of the most financially and economic savy persons in all of congress take charge on the Fed's oversight. Holy cow... maybe finally we'll get an audit of the federal reserve and find out how they're just magically creating money out of thin air.

Happy day indeed! Oh happy day indeed!

Offers / Make sure you're up to date with your virus and spyware defs!
« on: October 19, 2010, 07:55:12 am »Message ID: 256453
So, I've been clicking around and doing offers for a few days now, and I've seen a pretty terrible trend of some of the sites that are offered have some malicious code on it.

You need to make sure your anti-virus deff files are up to date, or you could potentially be in a hurt locker and paying people like me money to fix your computer.

What I could best reccomend to people here is download firefox webbrowser and use it!
Once you have it, download an add-on called ad-block. It will disable ad's that could potentially harm your machine.

I noticed this especially with the bing video and the toolbar it wanted to install. My computer went absolutely crazy with what it was automatically blocking and what it viewed as potential malicious code and traffic.

Be proactive with your machine, while it's not FusionCash's fault they just post ad's, some of the sites they link to may not have your best interest in mind.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Off-Topic / Online Video Games?
« on: October 14, 2010, 10:41:09 am »Message ID: 254100
Do any of you play any online video games regularly? I've been playing WoW again since I was offered some free playtime from Blizzard, but I'm not sure the wife is too keen on it.

Do any of you play anything like this?
