Suggestions / A Million Dollar Idea!
« on: August 12, 2011, 12:09:39 am »Message ID: 400617
Many of us follow "America's Got Talent". I happen to be one of them, along with my wife. For those of us who have watched the show, we know there's a $1,000,000 prize and a chance to do a show in Vegas. We know that many talented, and not so talented, people come on the show to perform, hoping to realize their dream of instant fame and fortune.

Of late, I've given some back-burner thought to what all these kids in Skateboard Parks could do to make skateboarding a million dollar source of entertainment. Now, I realize there would be avid people who would tell me that skateboarding is a sport, like many others. And I would never profess that skateboarding is easy, or without it's challenges. But I would never pay $1,000,000 to watch someone skateboard, no matter how impressive they were.

However, I'd like some of you to visualize outside the proverbial box for a minute. What could a skateboarder do, that would make him/her - mostly hims - worth $1,000,000?

For instance, here's some of my brainstorms.

1). Obviously, glow in the dark is popular on the show this season. That's one option.

2). How about combining skateboarding tricks with the ability to swipe a paintbrush on a canvas as they went by it, to the end of actually painting a bonafide image of sorts?

3). How about combining water with skateboarding in some way? Probably get an awesome lot of hydroplaning going one, could be fun to watch.

Okay, so you can't take my idea. What might you come up with? Remember though, once you give up your idea on the forum, someone may capitalize on it. Don't be surprised should that happen.

Suggestions / HOW SIMPLE IT IS!
« on: April 28, 2011, 09:30:46 am »Message ID: 345477
Many people complain about having to post 30 times in order to make their $3.00 bonus. I want to go on record saying how easy it is. Typically, I find myself "catching up" towards the end of the month. I check in daily to see what's under the "Show new replies to your posts", and if need be, I respond. But more often than not, I'm playing catch-up during the last week of the month.

This month was no different. I began my day checking to see how many posts I had going in for this month. I had only 11 eligible posts! "Sad," I said to myself. I guess I better get busy. So at about 6:30am this morning, after dropping my wife off to work, I decided to sit down, and start looking over messages in the SUGGESTIONS forum. I read everything that was marked NEW, and found quite a lot of things of interest to reply to.

It's now 10:30 am, just 4 hours later. I have caught up in the SUGGESTIONS forum, and I went to go see where I was at. It said I now have 32 eligible posts! WOW, I totally lost track of time for the past 4 hours, minus a pee break for the dogs (and myself). I posted 21 posts in 4 hours. Damn, I'm good!

$3.00 Bonus, come to PaPa!

Well, I guess I'll take the rest of the month off. See you all again in late-May! hehe.

Suggestions / Proposing A New Sub-Forum Category
« on: March 17, 2011, 11:40:10 am »Message ID: 327277
Greetings Kohler & Admins

I think I sparked something, or if I wasn't responsible for sparking it, I'm certainly part of the clan that has. It seems more and more people on Fusion Cash are getting into the idea of posting GAMES and CONTESTS here in the forums. Just now, I read a threat started by Clint08 for A New FC Puzzle in the Off-Topic forum. Lots of fun, as he put together a really nice Word Search puzzle. I'm sure you are all aware of the games I've started on FC as well, and there are a sprinkling of others throughout the Forums.

Maybe it's time to think outside the box on this idea. Kohler just redesigned the Tues & Sat Promos, which used to run consecutively (Tues-Fri, Sat-Mon). Now these promos are just two days each, based on a poll taken for input. Tues/Wed, and Sat/Sun.

This leaves an open door to set up a Sub-Forum for THURSDAY/FRIDAY, which if set up, could be used as USER PROMOS & GAMES!!! Rules could be in place to announce who runs each promo, and in what order. If a user wanted to offer prizes, they could do so up to $3.00, if they are willing to forfeit their next Forum Bonus. Or they could opt to run the game for fun only, no prizes awarded.

It would be a great way to keep the masses excited, and to get them all to participate even more. Just a thought. Feedback welcome by everyone.

Suggestions / ACHIEVE PERFECTION GAME!
« on: January 25, 2011, 09:33:46 am »Message ID: 303836
ACHIEVE PERFECTION!

Needed to play:
1). Ability to make a Picture File.
2). Ability to post picture in Forum.
3). Google's Search Engine. - No other engine allowed, sorry.

Game Time:
   Entries begin January 25th, 2011 through February 25th, 2011.

The Task:
Hunt for People on Google who have initials AA. They do not have to be famous, but they must be a person.

The Cost & Prizes:
This is a FREE GAME! First person to Achieve Perfection with a score of 999, according to the Rules below, will win $1.50. In addition, there is a Second Element to the game, which is also worth $1.50. Possible prize up to $3.00.

Game Rules.
Google's response to a search inquiry includes the Number Of RESULTS, and the time it took in SECONDS.   Multiply these two numbers, then look at the first 3 digits of this calculation. Perfection is reached at 999.

Examples Above:
"Alcoholics Anonymous" was my first search, though it is not a person, and would not be allowed in the game. The RESULTS rendered by Google were 3,260,000, and it took Google 0.16 seconds. Multiplying these two numbers gives a calculation of 521,600. Looking only at the first 3 digits, gives a SCORE of 521.
"Abraham Abramovsky" was my second search, and would be allowed, because he is/was a Professor of Law. The RESULTS rendered by Google were 8,110, and it took Google 0.15 seconds. Multiplying these two numbers gives a calculation of 1,216.5. Looking only at the first 3 digits, gives a score of 121.
"Alan Autry" was my third search, and would be allowed, as he's a famous actor. The RESULTS rendered by Google were 90,100 and it took Google 0.16 seconds. Multiplying these two numbers gives a calculation of 14,416. Looking only at the first 3 digits, gives a score of 144.

The third example would be ahead in the score, not the first search because it's disqualified. Of course, it is possible to get a calculation whereby the first 3 digits would be 999. In which case, this is PERFECTION, and the goal of the game. While the goal of the game is to reach 999 first, it is possible that no one will reach Perfection. In which case, the winner would be the player to reach the highest score, AND be the first person to have posted it! So, there is an element of timing involved. It's also possible the calculation might be something like 0.9715123, in which case the first 3 digits would be 097, giving a SCORE of only 97. Yes, the zero counts!

A Second Element To The Game.

As you can see, I've posted a PUZZLE to be solved as well. Behind the numbers are four puzzle pieces scrambled up of a person with initials AA. Each day, I'll uncover a piece of this puzzle, based on the majority's request - or my discretion if no one makes a request. The first person to guess who this picture is of, will win $1.50. Again, only one submission for this puzzle within 24 hours. I will not declare if your answers are right, or wrong until February 26th. So, keep the submissions coming just in case you are wrong.

ALAN ALDA

Posting Rules

You may submit only one post within a 24 hour period. Your post must include a screen shot of your Search inquiry, Google's results number, and Google's timing, as I have posted above. I will be verifying all submissions for accuracy, and will void any result I cannot verify. Your post may also include one guess at the Second Element of the game. You may NOT post a second separate post for the second element. It must be included altogether, or not at all. In addition, you may include a request for a piece of the puzzle to be revealed.

Game End

Game will end on February 25th, 11:59p.m. my time (Mountain - Colorado, USA). I'll then tally everything up in time to post the results on February 26th, and award the prize money no later than February 28th, 2011. Good Luck Everyone. If this is successful, we'll play again next month, too.

Small Print: If the Admin(s) of Fusion Cash void this game, so be it. Their decision is final, and no prize money will be awarded. Admin, you're welcome to play as well - bribery is always good, huh?

Off-Topic / 2010 Clock Is Ticking...
« on: December 28, 2010, 03:22:16 am »Message ID: 290557
December 28th is here. Including today, only 4 more days to 2010. Has anyone given much thought yet to their New Year's Resolutions? My wife and I took some time yesterday to cogitate this very question. There's the ever popular diet plans, or get out of debt, or buy something expensive, or whatever. So, today, we're asking all of you. What are your plans for 2011?

Off-Topic / Million Dollar Money Drop - How To Play At Home
« on: December 26, 2010, 11:41:13 pm »Message ID: 289966
"Million Dollar Money Drop" - Returns January 4th, 2011 - Play At Home, Here's How!

For those that were fortunate enough to watch "Million Dollar Money Drop" last week, you know the show rules, and that it returns January 4th, 2011. You probably also know what a great show it is, and within a year or so, it's likely someone will develop a Home Version of the game. Well, I'm here to suggest a possible way you can play at home when the show returns in about a week!

Grab yourself 4 paper cups, and a roll of pennies. The Million Dollar Money Drop uses 50 packs of $20,000 each. Each one of your pennies will represent $20,000. 50 Pennies will represent the entire Million Dollars!

Of course, you'll have to play the category the contestant chooses. When the 4 answers come up, and the question is asked, pause the show. Easy to do if you have a DVR/Tivo, or if you opt to record the program and not watch it until after the show is over.

Once paused, take time to talk about it as a family, and place your pennies in the appropriate cups. Make sure you leave one cup empty. When shoots are dropped that correspond to your cups, you lose the money in those cups. When you get to question #7, it's all or nothing with however many pennies you have left.

Have fun playing along. And post here how you make out. Let's see if anyone makes a Million! (or 50 pennies as the case will be, hehe).

Support / Discussion About Rule #3, Please
« on: December 26, 2010, 02:44:31 am »Message ID: 289644
3. Do not paste links to other sites -- This means no referral links whatsoever

A rule that should probably be number one or number two on the list, because it seems to the be the one most broken. This forum is for FusionCash, not for you to see how many people you can get to your other site that you make money off of. It is not a forum for you to spam your link to your store, candle selling site, or any other site that you can make money off of others. If it is a video on YouTube, or a news story you wish to share with us, by all means share your link.  But you should not post links to sites that you own, or in which you have a vested interest. We do not need people sharing links that contains links to other sites where the original poster can gain money from other members. Any link found that contains referral links will be taken down immediately, and the poster will be promptly banned. If you have a link and you are unsure if you can post it, please send in a support ticket or an email to support@fusioncash.com and I will be more than happy to look it over and let you know.

I'd like to understand this rule in it's entirety, and so I'm going to take some time here to tear it apart. Why? Because in my reading here on the forum in the past month, I sense a genuine fear that what we might say, or do, may or may not be in violation of this rule, but we tend to err on the side of caution, and avoid taking chances. My hope is to have a LIVELY discussion here, with the hopes of us all gaining a greater appreciation and understanding of Rule #3. Kohler, I hope you'll participate in this discussion, as the "final" word rests with you and/or FC Staff. Let's begin.

1). Do not paste links to other sites -- This means no referral links whatsoever Okay, gotcha. Don't post links. Is the emphasis on the word LINKS? Are we saying it's okay to make reference to a particular site, so long as a LINK is not created to said site. One example. Old Buddy has made incognito mention several times in the forums that if you can find him, he's out there. But he won't mention where he is at. Would it be wrong for him to say he's on this social network, or that social network, with his username mentioned? So long as he doesn't post a LINK to his actual page, wouldn't he be okay in mentioning where he's at?

2). This forum is for FusionCash, not for you to see how many people you can get to your other site that you make money off of. It is not a forum for you to spam your link to your store, candle selling site, or any other site that you can make money off of others. Okay, gotcha. My understanding here is that you don't want people using the FC Forum as a way to SOLICIT sales of any kind, by posting links to their stores, selling sites, or other sites that make them money. But if their site IS NOT about making money, but rather is a resource for offering help, particularly as related to developing one's FC account, would a LINK in this case be ok? Or again as in point #1, if a LINK is still not allowed here, can a not-so-incognito reference be made on where you can find this particular page of helpful information? And I am anticipating a partial argument to be such help could just be posted here in the forum, but if the work is already available on someone's site, why can't we direct them there, rather than doing double work?

3). If it is a video on YouTube, or a news story you wish to share with us, by all means share your link. Okay, gotcha. This part grabbed me big time. LINKS ARE ALLOWED! If it is a YouTube Video, or News Story. Okay, I know there are HUNDREDS of videos on YouTube that are related to Fusion Cash. So, if someone has created a video on YouTube about how to build referrals for their FC account, would that be allowed to be posted in the Forum? My thinking here is YES, we can. If that video happened to also have made reference to a particular person's website, would THAT video be allowed, if the main purpose of that video was of an instructional nature in teaching the in's and out's of building one's FC account?

4). But you should not post links to sites that you own, or in which you have a vested interest. We do not need people sharing links that contains links to other sites where the original poster can gain money from other members. Okay, gotcha. Though, I must say, this is a little tougher. Are we saying absolutely NO LINKS to a person's site, or are we saying it's okay to post a link to a person's site, so long as it's not a site where's there a vested interest in terms of gaining money? Again, if a person's site is geared to teaching a person how to develop their FC account, and they are not selling anything, their not trying to make any money, they're just offering help and instruction, are we okay to post a link in this case?

5). Any link found that contains referral links will be taken down immediately, and the poster will be promptly banned. If you have a link and you are unsure if you can post it, please send in a support ticket or an email to support@fusioncash.com and I will be more than happy to look it over and let you know. Okay, gotcha. This statement to me, indicates that in SOME cases, you WILL approve a post with a LINK, and sometimes you will NOT. Which then begs the question, when is a LINK ALLOWED? And that's the nature of this post, to find out when a LINK is allowed, and when it is not. Because surely, when you tear Rule #3 apart, there is enough of an indication that a link is allowed in some cases.

"Jerry Springer Moment: Final Thoughts." My intention with this post is NOT to question the rule. I love rules, and I live by them daily, as I'm sure many of us do. But as I mentioned in the beginning of this post, it appears that there is a genuine FEAR that posting any type of link whatsoever will get us banned, and hence, we lose all the investment of time, and MONEY, we put into working with and for Fusion Cash. This is a HARSH result for taking chances, particularly when a rule which seems absolute, appears to have loopholes in it. Perhaps a revision of this rule would be in order to define more specifically that Links are allowed in these cases, and Links are not allowed in those cases. Thus, eliminating the fear that many of us have with following Rule #3.

Thanks for reading, and taking the time to reply.

Suggestions / STARTING A NEW MAIN FORUM CATEGORY?
« on: December 06, 2010, 12:19:34 pm »Message ID: 281311
Okay, here I am, sifting through all the threads under the Main Forum area called Suggestions, for anything "Referral" - related. Quite a daunting task to say the least, considering as of the time I started, there were 33 pages of topics with 20 headings on each - in the neighborhood of 650+ threads. Of these 650+ threads, I ran across, and bookmarked 20 such threads that had the word "referral" or the like.

Now, we've all heard Old Buddy say on numerous occasions, as with many others, that Referrals are the keys to our business here on Fusion Cash, and elsewhere. And that a large part of our income can be, should be, ought to be, from Referrals. I have read on many threads that people want to know how to get them, how to work with them, what to do with them once we got em, etc. Mostly, I hear a growing concern of WHERE do we get them.

Therefore, wouldn't it seem important enough of a topic to dedicate a MAIN FORUM heading, devoted exclusively to Referring, Referrals, and Referees? That way, poor little-ol-me won't have to worry about sifting through "Off-Topic", "Offers", "Support", "Payments", "FusionCash", and "Contests & Promotions", in the arduous task of hunting down threads that are related to referrals, because someone didn't know exactly the best place to post their question about them?

What do you say Admins? Can we get it done?
Mike

ps. Yeah, Yeah, I know someone's gonna say, "use the search thingy!" But why? A dedicated place would eliminate that need. So, um, don't say that, hehe.  :binkybaby:
