« on: January 25, 2011, 01:46:02 pm »Message ID: 303978
I am a pure example of what happens when your raised in a same sex house hold. While i was raised it was awesome but now im grown i see lil things that i missed out on. And things i have come to realized, like i really thought everyone had 2 moms i really did and as my brother got older he now is against same sex relationships if there are men. I am way more open then most people i know and maybe that comes from being around people who had to fight every day for the one they love.

Off-Topic / Adults Affected By Past Child Abuse
« on: December 30, 2010, 01:29:01 pm »Message ID: 291746
I Strongly believe that sexual abuse and physical and mental abuse as a child still effects you as you get older! For instance I am a victim of sexual abuse and we wont get in to how that effects me , But what about a broader spectrum like Teachers! My brother was slapped  when he was about 7 by a Morning monitor I saw the whole thing. After i saw that I made an excuse to go to the office and told the nurse I was sick and needed to call my mom. I was about 9 then it was natural to just take up for him. Well she came up to the school and took care of it. So when i see him now and i see certain stuff about him that brings me back to that day. And i have another real close friend that  is still botherd by the fact a teacher made fun of her when she was in 3rd grade and she is 30 now and brings it up at least4 times a year. Lets just say that just that and Dallas Schools have kept her 10 year old daughter in home school all of her life!

Debate & Discuss / Do You Think Marijuana Should Be Legalized ?
« on: December 21, 2010, 10:13:00 am »Message ID: 288057
With all the additions of medical use for cancer and other terminal diseases I would say of course. I work with the surviving i would like to call them but some call then the dying and if you ask them theres nothing in pill form that they are able to take with less side affects. And you can get it in pill form for just that reason. Never the less its not a man made plant its been around for centuries. There for if you want to bring up the bible go head its in there that followers were partaking in smoking a plant, clothes were made from this plant and other part of the bible mention this special plant being not of sin! Its never killed anyone! Whats the worst that could happen munchies, weight gain, dry mouth also known as cotton mouth and laughter who doesn't need more laughter??? :peace:

Off-Topic / Beware Prepaid Electricity
« on: December 20, 2010, 09:50:57 am »Message ID: 287575
Beware i just had a friend who purchased a new condo and in order to move in she had to have electricity of course . So she took fast action and filled for prepaid electricity, which was turned on that day for a deposit of $50 dollars for 4 weeks. They turned off her electricity in 2 days and was floored when they said she only paid for 2 days of electricity. Who pays for 2 days of lights in there home? I have never heard of such a  thing.

Off-Topic / Legal Thieves
« on: December 16, 2010, 11:13:56 am »Message ID: 286196
This morning i get a call that my brothers van was illegally towed from his apartment. When he called to see what was up the had absolutely no clue why they towed it and the apartments had no reports on his vehicle. Come to find out after a lil researching this company has had 25 complaints to the Better B. B due to wrongfully towing peoples vehicles. And much to our dismay these people are truly out to collect there Christmas money because you know that these people who complained had to pay $300.00 to get their vehicle back be for they charge an additional 100.00 dollars a day that its sits on there property. So we made a complaint our selves. Did no good had to get the van back. :dontknow:

Off-Topic / My dreams R Speaking to me!
« on: December 13, 2010, 09:15:19 am »Message ID: 284832
If you dream of being a profession that you in life use to be, and had to in your dream go back to School having 9 years ecsperience.Would you reconsider when you woke?
I have this feeling that I should go back to being a certified nurses assistant instead of a nurse! It could be that . I  :dontknow:enjoyed the hands on part and bonding with people one on one and now that I'm a nurse it just does"t feel the same. So i guess what I am really asking is would you take a job cut just so you could do what you truly enjoy?

Off-Topic / A Lost One For Christmas
« on: December 12, 2010, 03:11:52 pm »Message ID: 284555
Christmas has been hard for me since I was 18 years old.Lost to Cancer Its just so happen to be my grand mothers( MawMaw) birthday! I miss her everyday but I tend to miss here more around the holidays . And she would hate that me moping about her, but I just can't seem to stop thinking how would love for her to see who i have grown to be. I wouldn't be who I was without her of course ,but i mean with out her wisdom . Sometimes I just wish that I was a lil girl again and could crawl up in her lap (instead of Santa's) and she would go over what Christmas meant to her. And of course she couldn't stand the fact that  her birthday was on Christmas so everybody made sure to say their  Happy Birthdays often.
