Debate & Discuss / That think, if what they say the people should be true about May 21, 2011.

If one visits the place of the network of evangelización of radio Family Radio [Familiar Radio], he will find in the center a button that he says: Judgment Day: On May 21, 2011 - [Day of Judgment on May 21, 2011]. And occasionally they speak on that openly in the transmissions.

I decided to verify which is exactly the reasoning of these preachers of the end in 2011. It turned out to be to me interesting that it is even more simple than seemed. In the past several calculations have been established for the future, such events as those of Charles Russell, one of the speculators who was accustoming to calculate these things in the Bible. Russell (founder of the Soc. The Lookout) it was based on the jubilees of Israel, with a heap of "parallel" complicated, on the base of the times registered in the Jewish calendar. Even measurements adopted from the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt were an inspiration for Russell to calculate dates of the end of the times. His successor, 2 º. world president of the " Witnesses of Jehovah ", called J. F. Rutherford, despised the calculations in this line, but it threw other calculations and concluded that the millenium would take place in 1925. Of course, nothing of these forecasts it was confirmed...

Good, but I am spending for high the date of the judgment in 2011. The fundamental base of all this is the text of 2nd. Pedro 3:8 "... one day for the Gentleman is like thousand years and thousand years as one day ". Hence, planning the parallel one with the moment in which Noé entered the ark, until they began the rains, and calculating the exact date up to our time the person responsible for the planning of Family Radio has concluded that the date of the abduction of the Church and the beginning of the final judgment would be May 21, 2011. Curiously, he does the same error of the " Witnesses of Jehovah ", that also were used of this passage for another absurd calculation that it was indicating 1975 as the year of the beginning of the millenium, which, since it is obvious, was not confirmed.

What happens is that the above-mentioned text is not a " fixed table " of that a day of God is equivalent exactly to thousand human years. Test of this is that in the Bible the " Witnesses of Jehovah " the parallel text of the Psalm 90:4 says that thousand years in front of God are as " the yesterday that happened, and as a wake during the night ".

So they are two comparisons - thousand years of the man are simultaneously a finished day and as a wake during the night, which is a part of a finished day, of course. Therefore, those that support this speculation do not realize the metaphorical aspect of the language, both the psalmist, and Pedro.

It is interesting that the Radio Family is a very conservative group, which not even musical 'gospel' present. I always listen to this boradcasting station in the radio of the car on having gone to the work and having returned, and appreciate to many of his programs. And they are, even, of the Calvinist line... Therefore, it is lamentable that these conservative believers have entered this business of marking dates also... They will experience deep dampers, since the TJ's has experimented often.

And, also, there is an absurdity - if 1.000 human years are exactly equal one day before God, we are measuring the God's size in the temporary sense. Does that do sense? Is he a God exactly 365.000 times major than the man, if is this scale of 1000 years used humanos/1 day of God?

Surely this way it cannot be.
