Off-Topic / City Council

Has anyone ever been on a city council?  I've been asked to run in the fall election.  I feel like I could handle the issues well, and I enjoy learning the different view points of individuals and situations.  But I don't know if the position truly is worthy?  Like other than a monthly meeting, what does a city council person do?

no video link?  usually this is under the daily tasks, down by the human intelligences, etc.   but I can't seem to find it this morning Boo.

So I frequent the paid to video option daily, and I must say I'm in love with the needing/getting video by OK Go.  they have a history with videos that are like this. But the car maze is just awesome.  Also, I've seen them live....sometimes videos are what make the band.
