Off-Topic / True Depression
« on: May 10, 2012, 11:42:15 am »Message ID: 535417
Just thought of a question while scrolling thru the threads. How can you tell if someone is depressed or just feeling sorry for themselves? Now I'm not saying depression is not real and it's impossible for people to be depressed but how do you tell the difference. How could you tell if they were just "pretending" or seriously going thru something.

What is something that you would change about this world, doesn't have to be one thing and it could be anything like no more mosquitoes, or pets that can talk lol.

Off-Topic / I love that...favorite of the week
« on: March 25, 2012, 05:35:08 pm »Message ID: 510168
What happens to be your favorite thing/ place of all time or for the week. Is it that power tool you use for everything, that awesome pair of shoes that goes with everything, that mouth watering steak you get from your favorite restaurant. Fishing spot that no one but you knows about? For me my favorite place has to be the county fair. As for my favorite thing of the week would have to be this hair cut I got, super cute. What's yours ( don't feel bad if you don't put family, kids or maybe even your religion. Everyone who knows you knows how you feel about those)  :)

Have you ever come across someone so smart that you started to feel that they were just being obnoxious. Everything turns into a debate with quotes from things you really could care less about but they just don't seem to know when to be quiet.

Off-Topic / TAX???!!!
« on: March 22, 2012, 06:46:10 pm »Message ID: 508993
Ok so we all know you have to take tax out if you win the lotto for the government, but isn't that money already taxed technically? I mean you pay taxes out of your check then you buy a ticket with that taxed money and they still take taxes out. And yeah if I won big time money with the lotto I really wouldn't care its just a question. Why pay taxes on the lotto when its already bought with taxed money? How much tax is to much.

Off-Topic / Complaining!!!!!
« on: March 22, 2012, 12:21:39 pm »Message ID: 508834
Do you ever get tired of people complaining all the time, and not for major reasons like " my legs hurts " cause from the knee down everything is missing, but for minor things like "I hate seeing misspelled words". Lol am I complaining about complaining people. Nobody likes to see misspelled words assuming the person reading it knows its misspelled. So many people would just ignore it.  Unless you are a English teacher you shouldn't care or at least not enough to comment on it pbut there is always one person who has a problem with such simple things. If it was something like "I'm standing hear" instead of "here" then yea I can see your point but u still understood what was being said, so get over it.

Off-Topic / Pet Owners

I love my dog to death, but she now has fleas and its so bad that she's starting to pull her hair out. I've tried everything from Capstar, Advantix, frontline to professional grooming. I wash her blanket in hot water with bleach . I have someone spray the patio twice a week and the yard, and still no luck. I've tried putting oils on her such as lavender. The steamed lemon spray where u put lemon in hot water over night added brewers yeast and small amounts of garlic and still nothing. Can anyone help me.

Off-Topic / EXTRA NOSEY LANDLORDS!
« on: February 29, 2012, 10:31:18 pm »Message ID: 497812
You just found a place to good to be true. The price is right, location is quite. There  is also apace for you to start a small garden. You just curled up on your couch in your new apartment to read that paper when you hear what sounds like Santa in the middle of July tap dancing on your roof with MC Hammer shoes and pants. Ok so maybe reading the paper is not you to happen on your day off so you decide to run some errands. 10 bags and 7 hours later you return home to settle down for the evening and as soon as you POP the trunk to get your things out, you hear a "hey there how's it going blah blah blah , I see you have some groceries there, looks like you might be a good cook, don't let me hold you up you must have company coming............ummmmmmm when do you feel like your landlord is be to nosey. How would you tell them to back off.

Debate & Discuss / COMMON SENSE
« on: February 29, 2012, 09:38:05 pm »Message ID: 497773
I had a talk with a friend of mine discussing common sense and I would love to hear more opinions. Now if you had a mailbox and you had outgoing mail wouldn't common sense tell you to put the red handle up on the side of the mail box?  But what if you never had a mailbox with the red flag only the metal ones with the outgoing mail slot should that still be common sense. Does common sense boil down to how much you should know by a certain age? What is your meaning of common sense.

Off-Topic / DID YOU JUST SNEEZE ON ME?
« on: February 29, 2012, 09:24:43 pm »Message ID: 497758
Let me set the scene for you .... Your in a check-out line for what seems like forever trying to get a few t.v dinners and some milk home just to get you by the week til you do your major grocery shopping on the weekend. You had one of the hardest days at work and you have two more days til you finish out your work week. As you get closer to the cashier, you hear this sound that sends chills thru your spine. Someone is standing to close to you in that narrow little check-out lane and they sound stuffy. Then you hear it.....ah Ah Aahhhhh chuuuuuu right on the nape of your neck.(now I have been sick before so I completely understand the world doesn't stop if you have a cold, but the doesn't mean you shouldn't have good cold manners) what would you to act like it didn't happen, scream , pass out ? :-X

Support / HOW TO START A NEW POST
« on: February 29, 2012, 08:50:17 pm »Message ID: 497726
If you are new to the site like me and are wondering how to start off making your own post, start by checking if you verified your phone number. I've been trolling around the forum for a few days and couldn't figure out how to create my own post, until I got tired and decided to just reply to something someone else wrote. Low and behold I got a message saying I had to verify my number first before I can reply or write a new post. Bingo! ;D
