It's was a very different scenario for me. He asked my mom for permission since my parents are very traditional Hmong parents. My dad did not really approve when I had told him, but my sister couldn't tell if he said in Hmong "No" or "whooa"
so to be safe when he asked my mom we ended the night early.
But for starters he spent the whole day with my family because we had a BBQ. At first I was teasing him about coming because I always do.. but then all my older siblings invited him. LOL so he came and was awkward for a very long time. Then he went home and picked me up later for a movie date.
He's not my boyfriend, but.... He paid for me.
my last boyfriend didn't even pay for me and it was matinee. I'm not saying i'm relying on him to pay, but as new as this unofficial boyfriend of mine is to the concept of a relationship, he was off to a good start. He was really nervous and honest about how he was feeling.
To be honest I was nervous at first, until i realized how nervous he was, and I found it really cute so I got comfortable. LOL
Tried to make it comfortable for him as well. LOL We watched If I Stay.. But half way in i realized.. Too many kissing scenes! I FREAKED OUT.
But then at the end we laughed it off and he sent me home because my early curfew was nearing, and I didn't actually have my dad's permission. But all in all, this was my first official date. It was different, but nice.
