A couple of weeks ago nbc launched the peacock network. It has a couple different ways to watch. you can watch for free or pay $4.99 a month for more content and $5.00 a month to watch without ads. it says you can't  get the app on a firestick but if you youtube it, you can get it.

Off-Topic / The fall tv season may be late
« on: August 03, 2020, 04:48:09 am »Message ID: 1334391
Some of our favorite tv shows may be late returning in the fall due to the covid19 pandemic. Because of this some shows had to put filming on hold until it was safe enough to record new episodes.

Off-Topic / My diet that worked
« on: August 02, 2020, 04:43:07 pm »Message ID: 1334376
I weighed a little over 300 pounds at the beginning of the year. I decided that I was gonna give up soda, chips and junk food and lose a few pounds. I have a cheat day once in a while with take out or cake on someones birthday. Even when I drove across the country We had to eat takeout and snacks. Yes it was  hot so I took a few sips from the 44 oz pepsi. After I got home I weighed myself and realized I lost over 50 pounds . I will continue to stay on my diet until thanksgiving and the holidays. I am not giving up great holiday foods but I will limit myself. I will also keep away from soda but I enjoy nachos a couple times during the season of new years and sports :)

Off-Topic / walmart
« on: August 02, 2020, 09:02:38 am »Message ID: 1334302
I recently went to walmart and the last time I was there different sections were empty. Today I went to walmart and those sections were full of stuff again but other sections were empty. I can't understand why the warehouse can't send them what they need instead of what they already have

Off-Topic / Would you go to a concert or sporting event
« on: August 01, 2020, 03:25:45 pm »Message ID: 1334220
Everywhere I go there is always one person who does not think they should wear a mask. This is required for the main reason that covid numbers are going back up across the country. Do you like going to concerts and sporting events? I do and I miss them. Please follow the rules of your state and put on a mask so 2021 can be normal again ???

Off-Topic / How many remotes do you have
« on: August 01, 2020, 02:37:34 pm »Message ID: 1334217
With the technology of the cable company, you can set up their remote to operate your tv without using your tv remote. Suppose you don't have cable like me. I have one for my tv, I have a remote for my firestick, and I have one for my android tv box. I also have one for a blu ray player but hardly use the blu ray anymore since I have my streaming sites. It is a lot cheaper than cable and the quality is just as good

Off-Topic / tag sales
« on: August 01, 2020, 02:31:06 pm »Message ID: 1334213
Driving around town lately I have seen a few people having tag sales. I don't stop unless I see something that catches my eye. I used to buy stuff at auctions and sell them at a quarterly tag sale. Ever since moving back to the east coast I have not been to an auction since they don't have them here. Also with the covid  going on I don't think many people are having auctions even in the midwest :peace:

Off-Topic / Do you make homemade sauce
« on: August 01, 2020, 02:23:29 pm »Message ID: 1334211
Ever since I was a kid I was always in a house where homemade sauce was made. The vegetables that were put in the sauce were from the garden. Do you make it or do you buy jar sauce?

Off-Topic / Ready for a long drive again
« on: July 05, 2020, 06:32:14 am »Message ID: 1331142
As my vacation comes to an end we will get in the car and take the long journey back to the east coast. I used to do this in one shot but don't like doing that anymore. We stop at a  motel and do it in 2 days which is good enough for me. I will post again when we get home :)

Off-Topic / Walmart prescription
« on: July 05, 2020, 06:19:58 am »Message ID: 1331139
My daughter needed her prescription from what used to be a local pharmacy here in town. They recently merged with cvs and the price without insurance was almost $50.00 . I told them to transfer it to walgreens since I get points from them. Low and behold they were over $50.00. The lady at the pharmacy told me that walmart was only $15.00 and I got it. The pharmacy gave me a list of all prescriptions ranging from $4.00- $20.00 If you do not have medical insurance you should look into this for meds you may need. You can save a bundle :)

Off-Topic / Loud music annoyance
« on: June 08, 2020, 04:13:36 am »Message ID: 1327612
I live in a city where different people always have loud music playing. I am not talking about hey that is a good song  turn it up. I am talking concert quality in a car or in a backyard for hours on end. it can be really annoying when you live next door to someone who constantly does this :peace:
