Debate & Discuss / NY and CA are going to give illegals stimulus money
« on: April 10, 2021, 11:48:51 am »Message ID: 1354738
They have no right to any taxpayer money. They didn't pay taxes so they don't deserve any stimulus money. Why don't these states take care of their own citizens? So many people in those two states are homeless and many of them are veterans. They need help but they aren't getting it from their governors or legislatures. I find it disgusting that they, including the Biden administration, would rather do everything they can for the illegals while the citizens are ignored.

Did you know it cost $65 million a week to give these illegals health care, housing, and meals? I see most of these people in decent clothes, expensive sneakers and smart phones. Where did they get those items? Who gave them the shirts that say "Biden. Please let us in."? Over 171,000 kids came in March. One 9-month-old was thrown into the Rio Grande to drown. A 3-year-old and 5-year-old sister where dropped from the top of the wall onto the US side and the traffickers ran back into Mexico. A 5-year-old boy was abandoned by the group he came across with and they ran away and left him to fend for himself. Same thing with another 5-year-old girl but she was rescued by a 7-year-old boy who they then found their way to the border patrol agents. They were the lucky ones.

Debate & Discuss / Illegal immigrants just keep coming

They're focusing on the kids but there's also a lot of adults coming over the borders and in some of the video I've seen, there are some that are ready to drop a kid, IOW, pregnant due any day. So those mothers will get to stay because the baby will be an American citizen immediately when born.

The illegals were not tested for COVID and 108 of them  in the beginning yet were shipped to other parts of the country knowing they had COVID. There are over 1000 kids crowded in a center that should only hold 250. Why won't Biden or Harris go to the border? Does Biden even know how bad it is or are they keeping it all from him? (That's my guess because of something he said yesterday). They have 9% COVID cases at the San Diego Convention Center.

The illegals are being schooled by volunteer teachers while most American kids haven't seen the inside of a school for over a year because it was dangerous. They got their vaccine and more money but still only teaching illegals. Does that make sense? Our kids aren't good enough to be in school while the illegals are? Harris laughed about it in a conference with people the other day. That disgusted me.

Drug cartels are making a fortune with bringing these kids across the border. They threw a 9-month-old baby into the river but thank heavens, the border patrol were able to save it, while they were unable to save a 9-year-old who drowned. A mother had both her legs broke so she couldn't go on.

I don't know how we're ever going to get through the next 4 years with this administration. Now they want to take over election laws, which is against the Constitution, too. It states right in there that the states shall have control over all election laws, not the federal government. They want total control. They are using "resolutions" instead of the legal way to pass bills into laws. People better wake up before we wind up with a marxist government.

Off-Topic / I must be dense or something

We were without power from 3 p.m. yesterday until 10 a.m. this morning. i had a lot of messages on my landline phone and laptop giving updates on the power outage. Problem is, I had no power so couldn't get any of them until power was back on....the only way to get updates was to call the power company on my flip phone which would tell me to go to their website for updates.

So, I must be so far behind in technology/ How do I get updates if I have no power? I have Wifi but that, too, doesn't work without power to the modem because no internet. Do we have to order text and data for the phones? What about the laptop or regular computer? How does everyone else get updates or whatever during power outages?

Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Debate & Discuss / The "Rescue" (NOT) Package Passed. Never thought it would fail.

Dems own everything that's going on yet they keep pushing against the Constitution and the laws of this country. They (and Biden) feel there is NO law dealing with immigration so they are opening the borders and you see what's happening, so what is happening right now with the illegals crossing is outrageous. "There is no crisis. There is only a challenge." - Mayorkas. Biden won't even answer the question is there's a crisis. He knows (if he's in one of his reality minds) there is and I think he might even feel like kicking himself for repealing the Trump immigration EOS that worked. Who knows?

H.R. 1 will give the Federal Government the rights over our elections. They can make rules and laws on elections and states will have no input or ability to make their own election laws. That breaks the constitutional law that states states have all rights over the federal government with the exception of those found in the Constitution.  If you paid attention to the Nov. 3 election, some states change election rules a few days or weeks before an election, breaking the state election laws. So if this bill passes, you'll see a 50-state example of the Nov. 3rd chaos.

H.R.8 is being debated now. This is where every law-abiding citizen must get a background check if they buy a gun privately. They must go to a gun dealer, both seller and buyer, and go through the background check.  What they fail to do is figure out how to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. They can make all the gun control laws they want but it won't a thing because law-abiding citizens go through the process. Criminals do not. They buy black market guns. No checks. Why can't the Dems get that through their heads? Because they want to trash the 2nd Amendment. It's sad that so many people think this bill will help. It won't.

Debate & Discuss / Have you seen what's in this $1.9 TRILLION "Covid" Rescue package?
« on: February 22, 2021, 09:38:45 am »Message ID: 1351441
A lot of pork again not even related to helping people. It looks like a regular budget bill with lots of items that have nothing to do with COVID-19.

Defense spending, federal wage increase, SNAP programs, high speed rail and underground for CA, bridge between NYC and Canada, Amtrak, Airlines, Emergency leave for federal and postal workers, VAís supply chain modernization efforts, $10 million for the VAís inspector generalís office to conduct oversight, Internet connectivity (evidently, they won't be in a hurry to have schools open if this part of the bill passes), tax credits (child tax credit, earned income tax credit for people without children even those ages 19-25), Rental assistance (which is fine BUT the money to be allocated to states, territories, counties, and cities, to dole out and you know what happens there),  Obamacare premium subsidies. bail out of multi-employer pension plans, Mental health and substance abuse (why substance abuse??? nothing to do with COVID-19), Money for school reopening (why not use up the $66 billion left from the first 2 stimulus plans) and higher education (to provide funding to dedicate at least half of it to emergency financial aid grants for students). Some items like homeless funding,  rental assistance, homeowner assistance and small business credits will ALL go through the states to dole out, which is a horrific  idea if they're anything like my state. Not much went where it was supposed to go in the other stimulus plans.    >:( >:(

All in all, they say $825 billion is for true COVID-19 help and the rest of the $1.9 Trillion is for unrelated COVID relief. (I haven't added it up).

Why can't Congress EVER pass a bill without pork? The first one was bad enough, now they're doing it again?

Offers / Wow! I finally completed a survey
« on: February 22, 2021, 08:36:34 am »Message ID: 1351425
Only my 3rd survey I qualified for this month. That's pitiful.  All those surveys on the page and never qualify for them. Lots of high paying surveys, too, while I'm lucky to get a 30 cent survey. I have a whole $5.50 for the month. This will probably be another 3-4 months before I can cash out. Every year it takes longer and longer to cash out.

Offers / Is anyone else able to do Opinionetwork surveys?
« on: February 16, 2021, 08:09:35 am »Message ID: 1350998
It's all the first survey's down to Samplicio surveys. Some are Consumer Survey, Tech survey, Current views, etc. They just won't load for me. They open but then the "dots" showing that it's "loading" but never does. I sat here waiting for one to load the other day for almost 15 minutes just to see if it would finally load. It never did. So I'm wondering if it's just my computer or does everyone have this problem.  >:(

Off-Topic / Snow and more snow
« on: February 08, 2021, 11:03:50 am »Message ID: 1350444
We're making up for a pretty decent winter until the Nor-Easter came through the other week. We got 20.5". Over the weekend, we got another 3"and then temps went into the 40s which snow melted and then froze into ice under the 3". We're supposed to get up to 5" tonight into tomorrow morning..more snow on Thursday and again over the weekend. Either Thursday or the weekend will give us another Nor'Easter. Still haven't dug the car out from the first one, which is another story.  ::)

Offers / Tried 2 new "Videos" today that paid decently-
« on: February 03, 2021, 03:26:11 pm »Message ID: 1349967
$ .15 and $.18 cents. Problem is I got the malware warning for Trojan virus on both. Bummer!

Offers / Surveys?
« on: January 26, 2021, 05:38:06 pm »Message ID: 1348771
Is anyone having problems with surveys opening up? I still can't do any Opinionnetwork. On my survey page, there must be 8 "Current Views" surveys with different amounts. They don't load. I tried a couple Simplicio, didn't qualify. Finally got one I answered questions and directed me to a survey.....which didn't load. Bummer.

Offers / Has anyone been able to access Opinion Network on FC?
« on: January 22, 2021, 12:32:42 pm »Message ID: 1348503
I'm wondering if it is part of OneOpinion site. I haven't been able to access any surveys for over a week.

Offers / Quitting all survey sites
« on: January 08, 2021, 09:53:18 am »Message ID: 1348032
Not much luck this year with another of my sites. Someone must have hacked my One Opinion. I requested $25 in Dec and never got it. I also thought it was odd because I wasn't getting notice of more surveys as much but just thought it was slow because of the holidays. I had planned to use that money for Christmas.  I questioned them and they told me I was suspended indefinitely because I violated their policy of only one account. So I questioned the second account reply because I only had one account. They never refunded my $25 and I still had another $18.75 left. They didn't even have the courtesy of questioning me if i had a second account and to delete one if I did. It shocked me!  My account and money was stolen and they won't do anything about it. They were my second favorite site after FC.  I was with them 6 years. So that's the way they deal with long term "clients?" Very disappointed with them.

Offers / Once again I completed a survey and didn't get credit
« on: December 28, 2020, 11:28:24 am »Message ID: 1347485
I did 2 FC surveys which I was DQ'd and only got credit for 1 (a while 1 cent) but did complete a $.75 survey. Of course, I didn't get credit for that survey either. If things don't straighten out soon, I'll be done wasting my time. I said it before but was hoping things would change. It's bad enough we don't get credit for DQ'd FC surveys but the owner/owners won't even answer their support tickets.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

Offers / I'm so used to not qualifying for PTC that I wasn't here for 5 days.
« on: December 19, 2020, 08:27:38 am »Message ID: 1347004
I was shocked that I did qualify for a survey 5 days ago, got credit, but wasn't here since. Clicked on PTC by accident today and surprised it came up. Yay! Now I have $17.15 toward cash out, but not qualifying for surveys again today. Waste of time.

I wish the owners would realize they aren't making money if we aren't making pennies unless they don't care because they have other sites that pay them better.   >:( >:( >:(

Off-Topic / First Nor'Easter in years going to hit us.
« on: December 15, 2020, 01:07:06 pm »Message ID: 1346840
They keep changing the amounts. First 10-15 inches. Last I heard could be as much as 18". I live in the deep dark blue part of PA. I remember the last one years ago. They said the same thing. Took us 3 days to dig a path to the mailbox and road. No snow blower at the time with only snow shovels and a 1000 ft. driveway with 3 feet of snow.  It was a hard winter that year. Friends were good enough to plow us out once they got done with their paying jobs. We got a snow blower after that and hadn't had a bad winter since then. Told husband that I predicted a long, cold  winter with lots big snows. I hate when I'm right!  ;)
