We have been roasting in Ohio the past week! Heat Index 99 degrees yesterday, 96 today. I hear relief is on the way Thursday or Friday. How hot is it where you are?

Has anyone looked at the Bitcoin value today? It is over $7000!!! 
When I started trying to earn money online 18 months ago, it was $200 per bitcoin. I thought about buying into it but you know, it was new and I didn't have a lot of $$$. Now, I am kicking myself. If I had invested $1000, I'd have $35000 now. Where's the Time Machine when you need it.....

Show of hands, how many of you support your grown children?
I have two children: a 30 year old daughter and a 25 year old son. Both are on their own, supporting themselves without help from me. My boyfriend, on the other hand, has a 25 year old son with an Iphone 8 that lives in my boyfriends apartment AND my boyfriend pays all the bills, rent and his cell phone bill!!! His son only works 17 hours a week in retail and he got that job after he quit college after completing 3 years of a 4 year degree. He dropped out as he was tired of going to school. My boyfriend started staying in my apartment a year ago but refuses to give up his apartment. Am I crazy for seeing this as not ok? Or, am I wrong and many people still care for their grown children? Thoughts please....

I went to Kroger yesterday and bought a pork roast to make pulled pork. I rubbed it and left it in the fridge over night. I found a slow cooker recipe for pulled pork so I just put it on for tonight. I think I will make fried potatoes and fried apples tonight to go with it. I MAY invite my boyfriend over as he love pulled pork. What are you having?

I watched the Dr Oz show two weeks when they had Montel Williams on and were discussing Cannabidiol (CBD) for pain relief. It is essentially the medicinal part of marijuana removed from the plant and made into an oil. The THC (what gives you the high) is not present in CBD. I purchased some online last week and have been taking it for a few days. It is not the wonder drug they were describing lol I was just wondering if anyone here knows anything about it or has tried it.

I was at the store today and found Pumpkin Spice Cheerios. I love pumpkin everything so I bought them. I just ate a bowl. They are really good! Not too sweet and just the right amount of spice. Yum!

I went to the Ohio State University Hand Clinic today and found out my Left and dominant hand has moderate nerve damage due to Carpal Tunnel. I am having carpal tunnel release surgery next Thursday. I cannot wait to get it done and hope it helps my hand. I am tired of the pain, tingling and dropping things lol

Does anyone else have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Off-Topic / The importance of a "Routine" Colonoscopy

My boyfriend who is 54 was told by his doctor in December that he really needed to have his first colonoscopy. She ordered it and he had it done February 3rd. They found a mass in his colon about the size of a walnut and it was cancerous. He had a partial Sigmoid Colectomy on March 20. They also removed 26 lymph nodes and 5 of them were cancerous. Now, he has to have chemo. Meanwhile, the incision developed cellulitis and we have to pack and dress it twice daily. It's a big gapping wound in his belly.

He had NO symptoms and NO family history of colon cancer.

I have now become an advocate for colorectal screening. If you are over 50 and have never had a colonoscopy, I urge you to have it done. Quite frankly, it may save your life.
