Off-Topic / print or cursive
« on: March 24, 2021, 01:58:20 pm »Message ID: 1353515
Do you like to write in print or cursive? Sometimes my hand takes a few words to decide and I end up with scribbly print, lol.

Off-Topic / commercials you can't stand
« on: March 24, 2021, 01:30:27 pm »Message ID: 1353510
Aren't there sometimes commercials that drive you up the wall with how often they are played. There's been one for glasses lately I'm seeing in practically every commercial break. What ad are you sick of lately?

Off-Topic / Do you use cash much anymore?
« on: October 23, 2020, 01:45:57 pm »Message ID: 1342914
I rarely have paper money on me anymore. I would rather pay with a card where I get some measly cash back. Do you keep cash on hand?

Off-Topic / Are we still on for trick or treating?
« on: October 19, 2020, 09:20:25 am »Message ID: 1342565
I've heard some rumblings about certain places wanting to cancel trick or treating this year for covid.  Seems like we're always hearing California news instead of our own local info. We haven't really heard anything here so I guess I'm still going to buy some candy. What's going on in your areas? Will you be answering the door?

Off-Topic / Lawn mowers
« on: October 18, 2020, 10:06:08 am »Message ID: 1342488
It's time to retire our old lawn mower from the stone age. Anyone have anything to say pro or con about corded electric vs. battery powered mowers? Battery sounds convenient but I kind of expect it to break before long.

Off-Topic / Surveys that lie about time
« on: August 29, 2020, 09:49:34 am »Message ID: 1337374
You start a survey that said it would take 10 minutes but you open it up, answer a couple questions and then it says congratulations here's a survey that'll take 20 minutes. Do you continue or X it out?

Off-Topic / Meat rubs & spices
« on: August 20, 2020, 12:20:14 pm »Message ID: 1336636
What spices or rubs or marinades can you put on meat that's different? I have a few grillmates that are fine but I'm tired of. There only seem to be the same few flavors out there. Do you ever make some yourself?

Off-Topic / Sharpening knives
« on: August 14, 2020, 02:20:44 pm »Message ID: 1336014
What do you use to sharpen your kitchen knives? I've gotta face that mine are dull as butterknives and I don't know whether I should buy a sharpener or just get a new knife. Never done it before so I'm not sure if it's worth it for a fairly low end knife.

Off-Topic / Do you ever return fruit or meat to the store?
« on: July 28, 2020, 09:51:26 am »Message ID: 1333483
Seems like more than half the time the fruit I buy at the grocery store is lousy. My mother will return stuff like fruit or chicken if it's already spoiling the day after she bought it. Now I pinch a penny (notice what site I'm on lol) but I rarely bother returning something under $10 if it requires a physical trip somewhere I wasn't headed anyway. I know that adds up but I really hate extra errands.

Off-Topic / Good card games
« on: July 26, 2020, 12:50:25 pm »Message ID: 1333313
I'm looking for some card games to play with the family, any suggestions that are not too complicated to learn? I think all we already know is gin rummy or war.

Off-Topic / Weird cures for headaches
« on: July 21, 2020, 10:26:56 am »Message ID: 1332884
I bought a peanut butter milkshake to cheer up my sister when she had a headache and she noticed it got better soon after she had some. Next time she had a headache I bought her another one as a joke that it would cure her, and it happened again. Next time she tried eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and that helped! Strangely it doesn't seem to work every single time... we're trying to figure out why it works at all.

Any other odd headache tricks to share?

Off-Topic / Are you good at assembling furniture
« on: June 28, 2020, 10:53:14 am »Message ID: 1329975
I spent a whole afternoon putting together a new desk but I actually kind of enjoy a task like that. Most people seem to complain about it. Am I the only one?

Support / Captcha problems on the daily email?
« on: June 11, 2020, 10:42:57 pm »Message ID: 1328104
Anyone else's daily cash email page not showing the captcha when you click and thus not crediting? Mine has been doing this for about a week.

Off-Topic / Back to church?
« on: May 27, 2020, 08:58:51 am »Message ID: 1326064
Churchgoers, what's the current situation with yours? Are they opening and are you planning to go back as soon as they do? Mine is starting to try to make the decision when to open. I bet a lot of people will still want to worship from home for a while even after services resume.

Off-Topic / What snacks do you like?
« on: April 28, 2020, 01:57:52 pm »Message ID: 1322704
Looks like I better hide the junk food from myself because I've gained a few since being stuck at home. What kind of snacks do you like, salty or sweet?
