Off-Topic / Re: home cooked or Microwave food taste better?

Home cooked is the way to go. Though I have discovered a way to make potato chips in the microwave that are crunchy every single time. I had no idea a microwave could do that.

I live in the city and don't have the storage space for a fake, but I love real ones anyway, so it's not really a problem. The smell of a real tree just makes it feel like Christmas. Besides, my parents have a good fake that sheds just as much as my real one!

Off-Topic / Re: Are you a night or day person?

I used to be a night person, but am now a day person. I need loads of sleep to feel rested (at least 9 hours). I guess my late night partying is over.

I was married in the Fall in upstate New York, so I had caramel dipped apples as our favor. People loved them!

God, I saw the subject line and thought Mcauley Culkin was dead or something. Celebrities have been dropping like flies lately...I never know what to believe.

I've always loved Halloween. It's the only time of year that accepting candy from strangers is okay!  ;D  Plus, I think the costume a person wears really says a lot about a person.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you drink your tap water?

I live in Queens and technically we have some of the cleanest drinking water, but the pipes are another story. I've actually killed plants by giving them water straight from the tap! Needless to say, every living thing in my house now receives filtered water from the frig.

I recently lost my job and my husband couldn't be more supportive. He actually apologized for not making enough money so I could just stay home from now on. I feel really lucky.

There's this great Japanese Fusion place near my apartment that my husband and I go pretty regularly. Food is awesome, as is the service. Plus they're the only place that serves my favorite sake  ;D

My husband and I became engaged on the 4th of July several years ago, so we celebrate the fourth in private now. Have fun in Vegas! Never been, but one day I hope to go.

My husband recently went with his father. They have family there still. They saw the sphinx and the great pyramid. even did a short trip to the Red Sea. January is the best time to go. Temp is warm, but not crazy hot. If you're planning on going, you'll need a tour guide, unless you speak Arabic...

My in-laws use at all the time since their family is spread out all over the world. It's the only way some of their relatives in Egypt and Lebanon will ever see their extended family.

I just bought my mom a web cam and mic so that we can use it together. We live in the same state, but 3 hours apart, so we don't see each other as often as we'd like.

One of my friends in college would always pass out in my room. He was near impossible to wake up and move, so my roommate and I got it in our heads that we should dress him up and take pictures. Poor guy ended up wearing an animal print bra and had one shaved leg which I covered with marker "leg hair." You'd think he would have learned his lesson, but alas, the next weekend found him asleep, tied to a chair with silly string all over. Some people never learn...

I went on my first date in 8th grade. My mom drove us the mall so we could see a movie. We ended up talking through the entire movie and held hands. It was pretty sweet and innocent. We're still really great friends actually.
