I understand the misconceptions and stereotypes to a point but really it gets ridiculous, I'm from the south (Texas to be more specific) and I'm soooo tired of going up north and hearing. . .
'Do you ride horses to school?'
'You have cell phones down there?! *gasp!* '
'So you live on a ranch rightt? With animals?'
. . . And I've been asked all this and more. . .with straight/serious faces.

About the same, I'm jobless atm and although it isn't that serious seeing as I'm still in high school. (by choice) I was going to graduate this year in order to get into college before they raised tuition which most said they were in a year or so, but due to this economy they are raising it next semester. So I decided to stay back and shove a few more Ap classes into my transcript. Not only is it impossible for me to find a job (on top of the economy being bad I live in a town/city with 3 colleges and 3 high schools) but tuition prices are getting down right ridiculous. And everything is expensive now. . .more so than before if possible.

Cut out bad carbs and wasteful calories, like soft drinks and junk food. Try to have healthy snacks in between meals to avoid starving (especially if you plan to eat a bit less to lose weight, your body needs time to readjust to your new 'set amount of food') *if your craving something, don't try to replace it! if you crave chocolate an apple wont satisfy you. Eat what your craving but watch the amount you consume.
Work out in form that you can enjoy. . .If you choose something you hate you wont be able to keep up a stable routine.
Don't stalk the scale! Your weight changes constantly throughout the day based on your activities and consumption, you'll just be upset if you do! Check it every 2-3 weeks. And It doesn't matter how much you weight, its how you look/carry it. (muscle weighs more than fat)
