Offers / Re: Tap Research Credited!

TAP hasn't been awarding the DQ bonus for me for a week or more.  I get this message:
Sorry, that survey disqualified you.

This usually happens when the survey is looking for people who have used specific products or services.

I used to get $0.01 DQ bonus for the DQ.  But not anymore.

I love almonds and pecans.  I like them toasted and Honey-roasted.
They are addicting to me, so it is hard to eat just one serving for me.

I like the Cadbury Creme Eggs and the mini eggs with the crunchy coating.

I just had one of the creme eggs this morning!  They are so rich that I limit myself to one or so every Easter.

I drove to Iowa over the weekend.  East from my southwestern Minnesota town to my daughter's home, there was a lot of snow on the ground and ice was melting and falling off the trees, fence posts, and power lines.  As we traveled south, the snow amounts got less and less.

I am back home and we still have snow on the ground, although it is melting rapidly.

We have been under ICE STORM warnings since yesterday.  It was nasty today and over 200 power poles are down in a nearby area.  My town is doing ok.  The ice is melting so hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I agree with bremer51, curiosity compels women to keep going to the next floor.

Off-Topic / Re: Drinking Straws

I had not heard of glass straws.  They seem dangerous due to potential breakage and getting slivers of glass in my mouth/throat.

Stainless seem like a good option.  Just need to clean them with a pipe cleaner of the specially designed brush that comes with some of them.

Plastic straws and all plastic are very convenient one-time use items, but so much of plastic has ended up in the oceans.  There are CONTINENT size floating plastic "islands" floating in our oceans already.  Some shores are so littered with plastic that all you see as the waves roll in is rolling plastic.

I usually don't click the daily cartoon inside of the PTC section.  Most times I find the cartoons odd/weird/dumb.

One of my sisters posted a picture of all of us siblings today in honor of this "National Sibling Day."
I don't know why there are so many special days.....seems each day is "National Something or Another."
I don't pay attention to it.

We had up to 12" of snow forecast, but so far it has been sleet and ice *bleep*.  We are now in a Ice Storm Warning with only 2-4" of snow, but ice and up to 50 mph winds.  The ice will be far worse and cause more damage to trees and be more dangerous for driving.

I'm hoping the system fizzles out without any more ice......needed to scrape windows after work tonight.

When I lived in California we had an Avocado tree in the back yard that produced enough for the whole neighborhood and my favorite way to eat them is still just sprinkle on a little salt and pepper and dig in with a spoon.

My favorite way to eat an avocado is to slice it and put it on toast.  Sometimes I will add a slice of swiss cheese and tomato slice.  My daughter will grill that combination like a grilled cheese.
Either way is delicious.
