Gotta have my morning coffee but I ususally drink tap/well water or unsweet ice tea. If I want something carbonated it's diet coke or ginger ale.

If I have coupons and the item is already on sale I will buy name brand. The few exceptions are cheese and ice cream- Must be BREYERS! Toilet paper and cleaning and laundry stuff I buy the absolute cheapest. I also buy a lot of that stuff at the Dollar store and reserve the grocery store for well- groceries!

I am curious about the baking soda and vinegar. I know vinegar is good for just about anything but I hate the smell. Is it white or apple cider? What does your hair smell like-just a clean scent? The baking soda makes sense - it's a great cleaner.

I had a dog rescue rescue in Ohio for 11 years and just recently gave it up when I moved to Maryland. I have 6 dogs {all rescue of course}. They are:

Annie- alpha, loves to ride in the car, way to smart
Britt- I got her over an aggresion problem and now she is a big sweety
Skeeter- shy, wierd, took her a year to warm up to me but she is fine now
Grace- all the other dogs hate her- I think she calls them all names. Just can't figure out why they don't like her. She is the best back warmer in bed.
Augie- my poor little man- he's very low on the totem pole but they all get along with him. He is a little squish love bug
Monkey- my pug/chihuahua- She is adored by all especially me. She's funny, playful, sly and spoiled. We all voted and made her Queen.

I also have a bird- a cockatiel with the very original name of Bird Boy. He loves to dance, swing and eat Cheerios. He also loves the smiling Bob male enhancement ad because they whistle in it.  :male:

Off-Topic / Re: What do you think of today society?
« on: January 15, 2010, 03:27:04 pm »Message ID: 130228
I would have to write a book to tell all the things I feel about today's society but I prefer to dwell on the remedy rather than the symptoms. We have always had wars, murder, rape, child molestation, abuse, *bleep*, greed etc. All of them have existed since time began but it was all behind the curtain and not as obvious to the masses. Incest and child abuse were NEVER talked about. Wars were glorified and you had to go down dark alleys to find *bleep* and *bleep*. Today all of it is watched on tv the internet or in the movies. It is hard to shock people today. Even worse is to some, it is all accepted- even cool. The only way out of this global mess is spirituality, responsibility, morality and a desire to live a life of service to others rather than service to self.

I did read the thread Lance but I still haven't seen the Tetrix game! Do you mean the game is over but people can still submit scores? Or can you still play the game and try for high sore. I am new- have never seen a Tetrix game and I don't think the thread makes it clear. SHEESH!  ???

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like reality shows, or should be bring back more comedy?
« on: January 12, 2010, 11:33:57 am »Message ID: 129005
I would like to see more skit comedy shows that are actually funny. The old Carol Burnett shows were the best. SNL had some good years where they were consistant. Seems most comedy today leans on fat, fart, and gay jokes and that's even worse than the God awful reality shows.

I think 2012 is more likely. However it is my understanding that it is the end of the world as we KNOW it. I think that has already started-beginning in earnest in 2001. I am ready for a new world - this one makes no sense and is too painful.

I frequent a lot of message boards and the amount of racial slander is amazing! I thought maybe we all had grown a bit but sometimes I think we haven't changed a bit since the 50"s or the pre civil rights movement. So sad and inexcusable from a public figure who has the responsibility of keeping his own personal opinion out of public discourse.
