I have had Netflix for close to a year. Unfortunately I signed up prior to my FC account and missed out on some credit. But... I am very happy to have Netflix and recommend it to anyone who enjoys movies. I send the DVDs back and forth in the mail and I also watch several movies right online through my Wii system to the TV. Great Price! I pay about $10/month, not bad, seeing how previously I would rent a movie from local video rental place for $3 and if I forgot to take it back for 3 days, well that's TEN bucks.... and I only watched one movie all month... NETFLIX has NO late fees... so if I want to keep a movie for a week or two... it's no big deal. Doesn't cost any more.  Great service to have.... works as the perfect back up plan on a boring evening when nothing good is on tv or you just want to watch a movie last minute.... no having to run to the local rental shop to pick something up. NETFLIX: GOOD. It's like having a whole movie store in your closet.... just watch whatever you want, whenever you want, as often as you want.... all one price. Can't beat it.

Gotta say Nicholas Cage. Great actor, no matter what he does, always seems to fit the part so well....

Sorry to hear about your house being robbed... that sucks!

I too over the years have experienced being broken into and robbed.... I own a Sports Card and Memorabilia Shop that has been broken into a few times over night. I had security alarms activated... but alarms don't stop people from breaking in. And although the Police responses to my store had been very quick, didn't stop thieves from grabbing all they could in a single minute and off they went.... with Autographed footballs, helmets, high-end sports cards and other valuables. Smash and Grab tactics, it's hard to protect against without installing metal bars over your windows.....

I also had my car stolen..... that super sucked! Call it my fault if you wish... left the keys in it while it was running outside the gas station while I ran in quick. I came out of the gas station and looked around, thinking... where the heck is my car? Sure enough, a young guy and girl jumped in and Police found my car the following night about an hour and a half away. They got pulled over for not having the headlights on..... duh. They were arrested and when court time came, they were let go, free of charge, no fines, no jail, no nothing..... Their defense was that I sold them the car in the gas station parking lot....? What? I don't think so. Ultimately the State could not prove them guilty and free they went. WOW, I was so, pissed. Steal a car and they got no punishment once so ever.

Thanks for all the posts.... keep them coming! Very interesting to hear the likes of others and what they had no regrets about plastering on the wall!  And for those who have replied stating that you never put posters on the wall? Come on, really? And if not posters..... go ahead, tell us what was hanging....

What Celebrity posters did you have on your wall as a kid, .... or now? Favorite hot model, rock band, etc... I plastered my bedroom walls when I was younger with posters of Cindy Crawford and Kathy Ireland. They graced my walls along side Hot Rod cars and Budweiser posters.... fun stuff. Go ahead, spill it..... what was hanging in your room?

Thanks for the opportunity to earn .50 on this flash game .... BUT, CRAP! The first time I played I scored 4000+ and didn't realize the 'code' names you're supposed to use for submiting.... so I just put in my screen name....  :BangHead: I've played it a dozen times since and now haven't been able to score over 4000. .... I think I give up on this one.... Good Job to all those who got credit!

:star: :star: :star: :star: :star:Yeah, if we could all just have that perfect recession proof business that would be great. Everybody has to eat, and purchase necessities... but the 'necessities' business is quite difficult to compete in, so... must of us with that urge to open a store steer away from those and deal with something that's typically fun and of interest to you or I as a store owner.

And commenting on pricing.... you don't ALWAYS have to have the best price to make sales. Sometimes the convenience, and the importance of good customer service and store atmosphere will make patrons comfortable paying prices that may be a bit more than other stores in the area. When dealing with Collectibles and Hobby Supplies, my small store was always in competition with larger area Hobby Stores such as Hobby Town USA. But because I was a smaller store I was able to pay more attention to my customers, give them the thoughtful answers and help they needed and they grew to like that more than shopping at the bigger stores. And winning them over with those type of things seems to allow them to 'not worry' and be comfortable about paying a bit more.

And... about paying off for time invested making your own craft items.... I can relate, ... The price you get for the item rarely pays for the hours invested in making it.... in this case, yeah, you really have to enjoy doing it. My girlfriend did a lot of ceramics painting which she sold in my store. Never did the price cover the hours of paint time.

Depends on the exact circumstances and how much money there really was (let's pretend it's $50,000.00) ...... I'D KEEP IT! Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know many of you say the moral and right thing to do would be to return it.... and I agree. BUT... I'd most likely put morals aside for a minute knowing that the cash could do me a great deal of good!

And for all those who say they'd return it...... ha, ha.... when faced with the situation - we know most of you'd keep it despite your 'moral' answer here on the forum.....
