« on: July 06, 2012, 07:36:39 am »Message ID: 566870
Lately I been seeing a lot of recipes that is based on SPAM the meat product. I never knew there were so many ways to prepare SPAM. I never really liked SPAM when I was growing up and have not purchased it since I have been an adult.

Do you still eat SPAM? Have you ever ate SPAM? What kind of meat is SPAM anyway LOL!

Off-Topic / Have Diabetes But Stopped Taking Insulin!
« on: July 06, 2012, 07:08:36 am »Message ID: 566863
I have diabetes but I have not taken insulin since 2009. I know that it is better for me to take the insulin but I did not like the blood sugar swings. I would find myself not eating enough food when I take the insulin then my blood sugar would drop low then I would eat and drink apple juice to bring it up then my blood sugar would be too high.

I decided to manage my diabetes with diet and exercise and for me this works better.

Off-Topic / Today is July 4th wow another HOLIDAY!!
« on: July 04, 2012, 06:28:08 am »Message ID: 565672
Funny I do not smell any BBQ in the air. I remember when families use to marinate meat all night long and DAD would get up and start the pit by 9am just to make sure we could have some nice smoked sausages by noon.

I wonder if I will see any fireworks tonight?? The City of Houston has designated areas for fireworks display but last year because of the drought so I watch the fireworks display in New York online.

Off-Topic / Did you have a BULLY in your Neighborhood?
« on: July 04, 2012, 06:22:42 am »Message ID: 565668
When I was growing up we have several bullies in our neighborhood but I learned to live and deal with it. I am worried now that bullying has become a national issue and why so many people are committing suicide because of bullies.

What happened to protecting yourself and not letting what people say get under your skin? Can we go back to being THICK SKINNED??? :BangHead:

Off-Topic / Time Wasters, Bad for Self-Employed People!

When people talk to you and their conversation is not worth the time and effort you are spending talking to them, then they are not worth your time.

Motto I tell my clients -- Do not waste my time and I will not waste your money!!!

Some people will never be paying clients just ask questions and never intend on buying your products and/or services.

Off-Topic / Do you still clip and use coupons?
« on: June 30, 2012, 06:27:54 am »Message ID: 562904
??? I remember when SUNDAY PAPER was fun to read and clipping coupons was fun to do. When I go to the grocery store now, I do not see people using coupons. I see people looking for items that are already on sale.

I guess the coupon clipping era has past! What do you think?

I am 54 and at a point that I HAVE to go back to work.  I did medical billing for years and I DO NOT want to continue that unless I have to.  I really am trying to find out what I really want to do with my life.

My dream job is researching information daily and creating reports based on the information I found. I am currently doing some of that just not a one job. I work from home full-time but need to get more PAYING clients lol. I have LOTS of clients just not GOOD PAYING ONES but I am advertising and marketing more and starting to see some improvement.

Off-Topic / How many legit internet tv sites are there?
« on: June 29, 2012, 05:56:28 am »Message ID: 562322
I only know of Hulu. I use Hulu Plus, which is a monthly subscription plan, when there is NOTHING to watch on regular tv or cable tv. Using Hulu is cheaper than using pay per view on a daily basis. I watch some tv shows on Netflix but they need to get more shows.

Anyone care to share some names of legit internet tv sites? I am referring to sites that will not ask for credit card then provide content that we can watch for free elsewhere.

Off-Topic / Which do you prefer Debit Card, PrePaid Debit Card, Credit Card or Charge Card?
« on: June 28, 2012, 06:27:42 am »Message ID: 561699
It is amazing how we have choices when it come to virtual money. I was thinking about how to better balance my finances the other day and realized that there are so many different types of cards.

1. Debit Card - is a card that is attached to your checking account at a bank that allows Check deposits and withdrawals also ACH Credits or Debits
2. Prepaid Debit Card - is a card that you can use like the debit card that is attached to your bank but no paper checks are allowed in or out of this account strictly ACH Credits or Debits
3. Credit Card - is a card that allows you to make purchases today and pay back over several months
4. Charge Card - is a card that works like a credit card but it has to be paid in full the next month

I wished I would have known about all these different types of cards when I was in College because my first card was a charge card and oh my goodness I should have read the fine print because I was using it like a credit card and got so deep in debt it made my head spin LOL  :dontknow: :notworthy:

I would love to just wake up everyday and work from home online. How many of you do this and are you making good money? :female:

I do this as a full time job. I work everyday. I am not rich but I make an income as if I was working on a job for company.

Off-Topic / My Experiences In Regards To Working Online
« on: June 27, 2012, 08:17:35 am »Message ID: 561250
When I started working online back in 2007 I had big ideas on how I was going to make this a full-time job. I sat down and thought about how much I needed to make to pay my bills and to live comfortable.

I decided to register with 10 sites. Why? Because in my mind if I could just make 10% of my projected income from each of the 10 sites then I could easily reach the 100% goal that I had set.

The problem with that was some sites minimum payout were just too high and I was not able to cash out every month. Then some sites stopped paying and went out of business.

Now I have found several good and some great paying sites with reasonable payout minimums so I think this year will be great for working full time at home. Do any of you care to share your work at home experiences? I am not asking you to TELL ME what sites you work on or with just your experience, good or bad.

Off-Topic / Re: Having a baby after age 40!
« on: June 25, 2012, 05:48:14 am »Message ID: 560194
I am going to sound very mean for a minute so please excuse me. Who died and made them the boss of your life and how dare they judge your life choices. A woman should be made to feel nothing but pride and joy and gratitude to God at the birth of a child. Let's face it most women cannot even give birth past a certain age. Be proud to have become a mother at any age and FYI a lot of women are making that choice today and there will be a lot of well nurtured people in the world because of it. An emotionally mature mother can raise a mature human being. I don't know you but I think you made a great choice. here is something you can give to those nay sayers :bootyshake: :bootyshake: :bootyshake:

Wow I actually LOVED your comment. I am ok with people saying I was selfish to have a baby past 40 years old BUT I did not FORCE it to happen, I was SURPRISED when the doctor said the pain in my stomach was indeed a baby.

He is three years old know with NO MENTAL issues. Uses an iPad to watch ABC videos and has his OWN laptop to type ABCs and 123s. So happy he is here!!

Having a baby after the age of 40 is something I would never do, but  to each their own.

Well I did not PLAN to have the baby past 40. At the time I had  23 Year old son and did not even think I could get pregnant anymore. I USED to say the same thing "I AM NOT HAVING A BABY PAST 35 YEARS OLD" But I guess I had NO CONTROL over this and I WAS NOT HAVING AN ABORTION.

Off-Topic / Do you like Internet Radio more than the traditional way of listening to music?
« on: June 25, 2012, 05:38:42 am »Message ID: 560187
The way we do a lot of things has changed when new technology came. We can watch old tv shows online and watch movies online. I find myself listening to internet radio more than the stereo system I have in my home.

Do you think Internet Radio will replace AM/FM Stations or do we need both technologies so we can feel we always have a choice?
