So my honey is coming home from work last night and he called and said it was snowing so hard that the snow broke powerlines on the streets and on one street it started a fire!!!  ???

I've never used ATT Unverse but I wouldn't expect them to be much different than any cable service or Verizon for that matter.  But by all means give them a call. Hopefully, you are still in your 30 day trial period so if you can't get satisfaction, you can cancel and move to a better service.

They might have a forum on their website where you can ask questions and/or see an answer to a similar situation.

I hesitate to suggest you download CCleaner or Malwarebyte because they are large downloads and may take an long time to download if ATT's ISP is having problems providing you with the speed you should have.

Do clear your cookies/temps with your browsers Tool link.  Doubt that you have that much in your cache, but cleaning it out won't hurt (just might help a little.)  (You can also access this by clicking "Start"; then "Control Panel" and then "Internet Options"

Alright, well thanks for all the help. I do appreciate it like you said to i might have to take it to a computer tech and see what's going on to get a better understanding of what's going on. But other then that i am going to check with att services!!

If you've only been running your brand new gateway for a week or two and even with Norton running, there were 32 problem files found in the scan, you need to ask yourself what you've doing that is allowing these problem sites to find their way in.

Did you add any new programs or download any files from the internet recently? (Generally, not a good idea to download any file unless you trust the provider)

Have you responded to any emails that look like they came from Gateway, Intel, Microsoft, Windows Security etc where they asked you for any type of confidential information or asked you to pay a fee in order to protect your computer in any way.  (These might be phishing emails -- sometimes hard to detect -- but be very careful about responding.)

Your  computer is just not old enough to be running slow.  If you can take it back to the Gateway provider, ask them to check it out for you.

You didn't say what type of internet connection you have.

Is the pc working slow only with internet access?  Or is it also slow when you aren't connected with the internet?

Yeah the computer only runs slow with the internet...i have att uverse... i do remember getting a fee
Emails but i didn't have anything that i needed to reply to. I also signed up with 3 websites but they were all protected sites. Also last night i ran a unaware
virus and scan...my computer is completely clean.. so only thing i can think of is to call att and see if it's something on their end. I also restored my computer still nothing.

My computer is brand new.. it's a gateway its 320 TH AND1 GB memory.. i honestly don't know anything about computers.. i have Nortons on my computer. I ran a scan and it found 32 problems of files that were cleaned out.. so i hope this works and stops the slowness should i do anything else? of my computer..

Thanks for the good advice, my computer has been running very slow lately and i can't even do my college work anymore. Let alone log in to sites.

So will this virus thing help better my computer and get it back running normal? My computer is still new and as of today ( Sunday) it's only a week old.

And also what are some steps i wou

Hi I'm having trouble logging in from my computer. I have tried to reset the password but it still won't let me log in except from another computer. My computer is new but i don't understand why i can't log in. I have even had the tech support rest my password and it still won't let me in and I've also even fixed the cookies on my computer still no luck. It seems i can only login from my phone or another computer except mine????


Please help!
