Off-Topic / Re: Cancel Culture hits the Scrabble Boards

These cancel culture nut jobs are just getting started. Today I heard on the news that some Dr. Seus books will no longer be printed because they don't fit in with the times. I agree with king4cash, these left wing bigots are like isis and need to be dealt with or we'll be living in a commie pigsty like China or San Fran freako.

I'm a fan of this series too, I have both seasons one and two on dvd and can't wait to see the third season but I don't have netflix (bummer). Very happy with the writing and acting, wish the episodes were a bit longer though.

He will be missed by many, cancer has ended too many lives way before their time but his music will live forever! I was interested to learn that in the Michael Jackson hit "Beat It", it was Eddie Van Halen who played the guitar.

cateyes1 is partially correct, 1800 got junk picks up stuff you don't want but not for free. I'm not sure what they charge for their service but I've heard that their fee is based on how much junk you want to get rid of and the size of the item. For example, they'll charge more to take an old sofa away verses a broken lamp. I'm sure there are similar companies out there, you might want to consult home advisor to find the crew that fits your budget and services your area.

Off-Topic / Re: Sauce or gravy?

Here's my opinion on this question. I'm of half Italian descent and as I politely argued with my dad who's fbi (full blooded Italian) LOL! Here in America we celebrate Thanksgiving and usually top our mashed potatoes with a brown substance that we call gravy and refer to red pasta sauce as sauce. In Italy, they don't celebrate our Thanksgiving so to them, pasta sauce is gravy. I'm not trying to do away with old customs or traditions but I believe that when in America, you should uphold our traditions, this is not the old country.

I think if these people like Mr. King are not happy here, than they should leave! Who or what gives him and disloyal thugs the right to tear down monuments, deny citizens their 1st amendment rights, attempt to abolish police departments etc. etc. etc.??? I was happy with how the USA was before people like Shaun King, Ilhan Omar, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Lebron James, Colin Kaepernick and so many others started this cancel culture crap! The way to get positive change is through some peaceful demonstration, a lot of dialog, fairness  and compromise. The left only cares about what they want, they vilify this great nation and should be tarred, feathered and sent to China or some other commie/marxist country in the fastest way possible. Good riddance!

I heard last night on fox news that Astrazeneca which is the company that makes an asthma medicine called Symbicort has actually come up with a potential vaccine for covid 19. Apparently this vaccine is going to be sent to Italy, France and another European country (can't remember which one). I don't know why the USA wasn't on the list (I know Symbicort is a very expensive medicine, perhaps that's why) but if this works, I hope your daughter and son in law get a prescription for it! I wish your family luck and pray for their speedy recovery!

My cats don't enjoy being in a carrier either but after some meowing they both get comfy and sleep. As for going outside, the noise of cars going by is too bothersome and birds flying by is too exciting. Plus, I don't want them getting stung or bit by bugs. The indoors is the best and safest place for my babies, they are very happy and that's how this doting daddy likes it!     :cat:

Where is the outrage and sympathy for retired police captain David Dorn? Mr. Dorn who was black was killed by looters while trying to defend his friend's *bleep* shop. From the pictures of captain Dorn I saw on fox news, he looked like a kind, caring man who will be dearly missed by family and friends! Yet since his death doesn't fit the looney left's narrative, it somehow doesn't count??? I think those on the left in particular need to take a long look in the mirror!

Always been a big fan of his! Obviously one of Rock and Roll's legends, he'll be dearly missed but his music will immortalize him forever!

I didn't know there were so many "doctors" on this forum! I'm not drawing a government check, I'm not trying to control anyone (don't know where that idea came from). I'm just trying to say that attempting to go back to the way we were living is not a good idea right now since there isn't any medical way to combat the virus. I'm not accusing any of you of being thoughtless or uncaring, I'd appreciate the same consideration. Hopefully things get better soon!

I really think the government should make a vaccine or cure available FIRST and then talk about getting things going again. Just because we've been hiding away, doesn't mean the virus has given up and is no longer a threat! Would you go swimming again if a killer shark was on the loose and it hadn't been caught yet? Yup, looks okay everybody, back in the water! yeah, I didn't think so. We need a virus cure, not silly talk.

I wish there was something I could say to ease your grief, tragedies like this should never happen. Perhaps knowing your grandson is safe and happy in Heaven will bring you some comfort.

That was very kind of you to visit your step mom even though she treated you and your family poorly. I have an Uncle like that, we hadn't talk for years too but when he called saying he was hospitalized with a failing heart, I called to wish him well and let him know he wasn't alone and that I cared. Good people do things because we know what's right not because we seek reward, bless you and take care!

Don't need any horror shows or movies, we have our own playing out right before our eyes and it's called the corona virus!
