Congratulations!  Your first cashout represents a lot of time and effort you took to make that money.  Any ideas on how you'll spend it?

I just logged back into FusionCash after being away for a few months and all I can is, "WOW!"  It'll take some time to learn the new website but I do like the look of it.

Off-Topic / Re: Do You Enjoy The Library?
« on: July 13, 2013, 11:08:07 pm »Message ID: 765366
When I was a lot younger, I loved the library.  I love books, so the library was the best place to be!  Nowadays, libraries are so strapped for money that they can't afford to get in a good selection of new books.  I'm really getting into reading ebooks, so I theoretically won't need a physical library at some point.

I don't have enough room for all my books, so I like giving away/loaning books to others.  That way I don't have to find room for it!  I am just getting into ebooks, though.  It's a hard transition from the paper books, but I am really liking how many books I can download to read on my computer or smartphone.  I have friends who love to trade their ebooks with each other.

I love Friday.  It's still a work day but it's the last one of the week for me!  And I love Saturday; it's so nice to just relax.

Off-Topic / Re: Satellite Radio Or Free

I'm old fashioned:  "What?!  Pay for radio?"  With that said, I was going to do a cross-country drive this fall and seriously thought about subscribing to satellite radio.  That way I could listen to lots of different music that I liked and talk radio programs that I listen to.  I drive pretty frequently between San Francisco and Orange County, CA, so I might consider satellite.

Monday through Friday, I wake up between 6 and 7 a.m. for work.  On the weekend, I like to sleep in after 9 a.m.

I think Paula Deen did what a lot of us have done in the past and the present.  I'm not saying she's in the right.  How's her behavior now?  I feel like her sponsors are judging her on her past which, I would like to believe, is not who she is now.  That's not fair to Deen.

I do think that if she was that offended by the language being used by the workers in the restaurant she co-owned, she should've created a policy to stop it.  She definitely has control over that.

My highest weight was 165, about a year ago.  I've lost 10 pounds so far.  20 more to go!  My desired weight is 135.  I am 5 feet 5 inches tall.

Off-Topic / Re: What is your favorite type of Pizza?
« on: July 13, 2013, 10:18:08 pm »Message ID: 765343
I'm pretty traditional.  I love a good pepperoni and mushroom pizza.  Went to Roma de Italia, in Tustin, CA last night and had their Roma special pizza which was great.  Meatball, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom (extra in place of the green bell pepper), and onion.  That would be my second most liked pizza.

Off-Topic / Re: Tips to selling on Ebay?
« on: July 09, 2013, 09:44:18 am »Message ID: 763234
I've bought lots of stuff on ebay and most of the sellers were reputable--and I never got ripped off by getting a really old model of the product I thought I'd won!   :o

I'd say make sure you keep to your promises:  the quality of the object you are selling, if there are defects be sure to note that and (if possible) provide photos, responding quickly to inquiries, and shipping/mailing the item to the winner.

And take really nice photos of your stuff.  Is there something special or different about the jewelry you're making?  Then be sure to somehow highlight that in your photo.

If you have school-age children, you will want to consider the public and private schools in your neighborhood.  I live in California, and where you live can make a huge difference on the quality of education.  Good schools also mean it'll be easier for your children to apply to colleges and universities after high school
