It's not a holiday for me.  I have to work.

It is kinda sad that on a lot of these holidays it's the people we should be celebrating you often work in industries that are forced to remain open. Kinda hypocritical.

I always try for 6-8 hours. If I get significantly less (or even on the six side) during the week I sleep like a log until I'm caught up on weekends!

It's really incredible to see her keep going with awareness work and bringing laughter and joy more than doing work for the fame or fortune at this point. May we be celebrating her 100th birthday soon!

welcome back, you took a brb, lol. I miss the searches, and easy tasks. Have fun this is an unique site, thanks FusionCash for letting us continue.

Yeah, I think the amount sites earn for searches has changed, since I've seen so many shut down searches or make them by chance.

Or it could just be that Swagbucks made such a name for itself with a cheaper business model that others eventually followed suit. Either way it's a shame.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Best movie lines

I wind up quoting almost the entirity of Monty Python and the Holy Grail in daily life. My all time favorite lines have to be between "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" from that or "There's a secret I must tell you! I am not left handed!" "Well, there's a secret I must tell you too. I am not left handed either." from the Princess Bride

I think the most important are healthcare, infrastructure, and finance. I think if we work with and reform those sectors many of the other domestic issues will improve.

With boys that age what's probably best is to be by a boardwalk or somewhere where they can have freedom to run around and potentially meet people their age. You get that at an amusement park hotel as well but if there aren't enough roller coasters they'll probably get bored.

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is having lots to do and not doing it.

 Andrew Jackson quotes

That has to be one of the truest quotes I've heard, though I'll add the caveat of not having to do it because there are plenty of times I should and simply don't  :-X

Debate & Discuss / Re: Thoughts on the Donald?

I think that it's sad Trump is getting so much support as a political candidate because while I agree it's important to have someone talking about the political issues, I think that that type of attitude shouldn't be associated with elected office: if Trump can't negotiate with others and listen to other's views he's missing the two major cornerstones of a public official in any democracy.

Personally I think there are other places for that type of speech. Like political comedy. John Steward and Stephen Colbert can make the same points and influence without needing to run for office. Then again I think Trump takes himself too seriously to ever sit back and laugh, another quality I personally look for in a leader.

The instant credit is one of the nice features of this site! It can be really annoying and frustrating to have to remember what offers you did and check back later to see if they credited before knowing something went wrong.

Personally I think it's either a switch in the comic artist or (like said above) just that the comic is drawing too much out of his own life. I've seen a lot of great comics on other parts of the web and it's sad that the ones here aren't funny. Usually I either glance at it or skip it altogether. Never been a believer in astrology but reading the horoscopes are always interesting.

Off-Topic / Re: Kim Davis Jailed
« on: September 06, 2015, 07:18:25 pm »Message ID: 1009868
She wasn't jailed for her religious beliefs.  She was jailed for not following the law.  If it goes against her beliefs so badly, she should be looking for another job that wouldn't put her in the position to have to make the choice.  I know it's not always that simple...but just hate people saying she was jailed because she was a Christian...

I do believe that it is over the top to jail someone for not following their job, but not only did she refuse to hand out marriage licenses, but she condemned the court multiple times when they ordered her to either do so or quit her job!

I believe that our country should allow people to stand up for their beliefs, and in her case that involves allowing her to quit her job or ask to be transferred into a similar job that would not involve overseeing marriage licenses if she refused to do so for couples who wished to be legally married. However, the courts can't maintain their power unless they follow through on punishments to those who repeatedly disobey them, and since the judge had told her she would face charges if she refused and she continued to prevent couples from legally marrying...  *shrugs*

I love both kinds, but what's definitely best is mixing them.

Triple chocolate brownies with milk, chocolate and bittersweet. Terrible for you but so, so delicious  :in-love:

Welcome Teresa! I'm still pretty new here too (about two weeks on the site) but I've earned over $15 just from ptc, videos, and the forums. It's a great site that pays a lot if you spend a little bit of time everyday!

Debate & Discuss / Re: Planned Parenthood Debacle
« on: September 05, 2015, 06:33:10 pm »Message ID: 1009610

This is not a right/left issue.  This is about women having control of their own bodies, of their own lives.

Planned Parenthood does family planning, contraception, cancer screenings, pregnancy testing, prenatal care, and yes, abortions. Abortions are the least of what they do.

Did you know that when Roe vs Wade was passed, it was passed with the support of the churches?

"I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion, that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is."
Sister Joan Chittister, O.S.B.

I think you make very strong points. I personally am pro-choice, as I don't believe that it is the government's right to outright ban medical procedures that can save women's lives (all throughout history whenever abortion has been banned there have been thousands of deaths from unsafe procedures.

Furthermore, I think whatever side you stand on, the jump from a moral objection to abortion to defunding or shutting down all of Planned Parenthood is irresponsible. The most important goal of any government is to protect the lives of its citizens, and Planned Parenthood is responsible for providing affordable healthcare to many of the women who cannot afford it in many facets besides abortion or contraception. I can understand it when someone pro-life argues for defunding abortion treatment by Planned Parenthood (even if I disagree) but shutting down the entire organization because of moral objections to one procedure is like trying to ban religious gatherings because of the Westboro Baptist Church.
