Off-Topic / Re: WHY DO PEOPLE DO THE THINGS THEY DO?
« on: November 27, 2010, 07:22:03 am »Message ID: 274596
I think they need to feel like bigger people.  Usually when people do hurtful things it's just because they feel threatened or inferior.

I don't think I'd ever do that- you can usually tell when it's fake!  My hair is great how it is-I love it!

I think I do.  Sometimes I'm pretty convinced that I can feel the presence of my late husband and strange things seem to happen, but it's always a good thing.  Maybe not so much in the form of a "ghost" since those are supposed to be scary, but more as a "spirit", which to me is more of a good thing.

Off-Topic / How much Christmas shopping have you done already?
« on: November 27, 2010, 07:12:44 am »Message ID: 274591
I started a while back, just getting something here and there, but now we're getting down to the wire!  I never do Black Friday shopping unless it's online.  How far are you guys?  I still have over half my family to go.

Off-Topic / Re: People who complain about their weight

I can't decide which is worse-when fat people do it while shoving a candy bar in their mouth or while skinny people do it while shoving a celery stick in their mouth.  I think it's worse when I go and say that I've lost 50-60 pounds already and people ask me how I did it.  I say diet and exercise, then they swear up and down that they do the diet and exercise thing, too, but I KNOW they are eating at Burger King twice a day.

Yuck-no way!  I can't believe how much cigarettes cost now, either.  how can anyone afford to smoke??
I've tried it a few times when I was younger, but fortunately I never even liked it.

LOL!  One of the local radio stations has an ad this year that says something like this-"can you please wait until after your first post-thanksgiving BM to start stapling those lights to the gutters please?"  It's supposed to be a "save Thanksgiving" cause thing :)  LOL!!!!  I sort of agree with them-let's take one holiday at a time, ok???? :)

I'm pretty happy with what I am-of course, as most other females, I will continue to try to lose a little weight and keep myself looking younger.  I think it's in our genes :)

I plan on staying home!  Forget going out in the madness!  One year I HAD to get something on Black Friday-some medicinal thing that I can't remember right now.  I waited in line for an hour to get something the equivalent of aspirin!  Totally crazy.

No way am I going out with all those crazy people on Black Friday!!  The stores are insane and the sales never turn out to be that great.  I try to do most of my shopping online, so I may check out cyber Monday sales to see if there's anything good out there.

I think I like pumpkin the most for the holidays, but I REALLY love apple pie :)  I made a pumpkin pie once that called for melted vanilla ice cream instead of something else-I wish I could find that recipe.  It was to die for!!!

I see a lot of people who can't handle talking and driving at the same time-It's a shame that for the morons who can't deal with walking and chewing gum at the same time, the rest of us are punished.  The only way to alleviate this poblem, though, is to take it away from everyone.  The problem I have is that the hands free stuff is still allowed-To me, those hands free things are difficult to deal with!  I do better with just the dang phone!!

I'm going to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving, so I don't have to make anything, but I'm planning on making a dish of fudge to bring with :)  Can't wait for the Turkey!!!

Way to go!!  It's so cool to start your own business :)  What exactly do you do with the diapers?  Do you just make your own cloth ones, or do you do the arrangements for parties and stuff?
