Debate & Discuss / Re: Hair
« on: December 11, 2014, 03:37:35 am »Message ID: 942243
I have always hated everything about permanents. My mom used to take me all the time when I was young. They are stinky, really stinky, and then you can't do anything with the kinkiness afterwards.  :'(

When I think about the chemicals that your body is getting exposed to while getting a perm, it makes me cringe. I have just used a hot iron since I got away from my mother's hair control.  :rainbow:

Love you mom , but not so much those permanent waves.

:fish:

Hair,Hair,Hair..What a wonderful and at times hard to accomplish the perfect ( color and style)
I used to spend 100.00 of dollars each month trying to keep up with all the new look's!! of coarse that was a few years ago when i had that type of money, I now have learned to color my own hair without the first time nightmare of a dye job memory!
thanks for reading and hope everyone has a good day! :rose: :in-love:

Debate & Discuss / Re: Gay Marriage: Where do you stand?
« on: August 29, 2013, 06:50:50 pm »Message ID: 786596
   Interesting debate!
I am a individual who is open to anyone's preference, I myself believe that marriage should be between a man and woman, But one's who choose to fall in love with the same gender as they are doesn't bother me at all. My cousin happens to be gay, and is looking to getting married. IT is not my job to past judgement on any individual but myself..

Off-Topic / Re: This is how I do my dishes:
« on: October 25, 2012, 07:15:28 am »Message ID: 629029
Great topic!! I myself use the great dawn dish soap, some warm water, and my Mr. Clean wash sponge and wash away all the icky film off every dish before I even put my   dish's into the dish washer. I enjoy the bubble's and aroma scent of the dish soap lol...  :notworthy:                                                                                                                                                                                                         I guess i'm wierd and possibly a little OCD but that's okay it reminds me that I have dish's to attend too!  Thankyou

« on: April 24, 2012, 04:14:28 am »Message ID: 525592
Mine gets wiped down every day...  And completely cleaned out either before I go shopping.. or when I get home before I put the food away.  It has to be clean....  :confused1:

And the handles on the doors... omgosh... those ESPECIALLY.. and the sides of the doors... I swear I clean then and the next time I come out to the kitchen... sticky again...   :angry7:

Hubby says my OCD drives him insane... I get so distracted when I find things like this I have to do!!! Then forget what in the world I went into the kitchen for... lol  :dontknow:

Great question! IM THE SAME WAY LOL...I tend to clean everything when im stressed out. which seems to be alot more frequent than past years! and when i clean the mr.clean sponges with the magic eraser is the best!! that little sponge sure can remove almost any mark imaginable.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Drug Testing for Government benefits?
« on: February 17, 2012, 05:50:51 am »Message ID: 491893
I know people who work for the welfare dept and agencies like that and they see the people abuse the system every day! They drive nice cars and have their nails or hair always done up and they're collecting welfare or foods stamps?? I wish the government looked into this a little better and maybe some of that money and help could go to people who really do need it. I don't think a drug test would be out of line at all. It would have to be given to everyone too no matter what race or sex or age or anything. the people who truly need the help would understand this. it's the people who abuse it who would object
I work for hennepin county as a mandated reporter, so we see all sorts of low income familys, but most certainly i agree with the abuse of the benefits county may grant one family. Are economy is changing and thosse of us who do what we can and still have to ask for a little assistance may make us very upset too see many individuals abusing the benefits one family may be needing... Great topic
