Suggestions / Re: How can you remember to do it daily?
« on: August 25, 2009, 02:31:09 pm »Message ID: 83421
I open all my apps at work in the same order everyday (no, it's not OCD - we run alot of apps in a call center & it helps keep them organized) and I open my email followed immediately by FC!  I've customized my LINKS bar to open them all, including an "FC" link, so it's always in the same place!!!

Yes, using a prepaid debit/credit card is a good idea especially because you control how much is available on the card and in alot of cases, it isn't connected directly to a bank account so they can't draw more than what you authorize.  Just be sure you take care of any recurring charges and make sure you keep enough money on it to pay on time, transfer to a different payment method or cancel the service.  If you don't and the payment fails, recurring charges *can* affect your credit if the company considers it a contract & you've defaulted on that contract.

I've wondered similar things...I'd love to think I could work from home instead of commuting an hour & a half one way. :)

Hey OldBuddy...I've seen you're recommendations and suggestions in a couple of different threads about how to find referrals and create advertising and such, but, for more than one reason, you cannot share specifics.  However, could you give us an idea how much time & money you've invested & your return on that investment?  I'd like to know just so I have a better idea of what it takes to reach the kind of levels you have.  I don't want to steal your thunder, but I'd like a better idea of the reality of what it's going to take to get the supplemental income I'm aiming for.  Thanks!!

Just remember that the more days you have of recovering the more you have to FC!  :)  Keep your chin up - if you made it this far, you'll survive!

KUDOS!  There are a million epithets that can be thrown at you, but you've probably heard them enough already.  Just remember you have to wake up with yourself everyday regardless of anyone else.  How you see yourself when you wake up is what will get you through the day and eventually through every situation.  Dig deep & stay strong to your beliefs.  Bad situation and I feel for you all!

Granted, I've not the traveling experience you do AHunter and can understand anyone's trepidation about, well, almost anything given personal experiences, but couldn't you also list all the various times you've seen horrific things happen to a standard automobile, too?  How many times have we heard and seen breakdowns, fires, break-ins, car-jackings in addition to the million ways to crash a car?  Trains collide or derail, airplane engines fail because of birds, buses topple off ledges and as for ships - heard of the pirating of late?  So...suffice it to say that while you're certainly entitled to your opinion of RVs (and no, I don't relish the experience your father had with his stuck in ALASKA!!!), I don't know that means the idea isn't a good one for some people.  Sounds like you've gotten to see some pretty cool things over the years though - *THAT* I do envy!  :)

Offers / Re: How often are new offers posted?
« on: August 18, 2009, 02:41:34 pm »Message ID: 81027
There is no set timeframe for new offers.  It depends on when FC & other companies come to an agreement.  In my experience, though, there are usually 5 to 10 new ones per month.

Depends on what it is that you're doing.  Most offers that are "Instant Credit" will show in 15 minutes or less.  Sometimes it takes a little longer depending on the offer so don't panic if you don't see something right away.  Some will tell you it will take X numer of days or until you confirm something or activate the card, etc, before you are credited.  Just be sure you're following the instructions very carefully to get the most out of your work!  Good luck!

Clip n Go's never worked for me or either of my referrals that did it.  :( Maybe we're just doing something wrong.  Still use some of the coupons though!

I've never heard of such!  Perhaps I should go back and see if I've completed that one or not for FC credit and then check their website to see if I'm registered w/ a diff email or something!  Regardless, I'm looking further into this one!

Off-Topic / Re: LOUISVILLE COACH RICK PITINO
« on: August 14, 2009, 12:46:55 pm »Message ID: 79998
Rick Pitino is the current basketball coach for the University of Louisville (formerly coach for the Boston Celtics and University of Kentucky) and a couple of years ago he apparently had a short-lived (1night stand by his report, twice by hers) fling with another woman.  The affair may not be headline news exactly because it seems to be a more common occurrence throughout the celebrity world, except that Pitino's been a pretty clean cookie but he is a fairly well known & well respected basketball coach who is a staunch Roman Catholic, married and a father of 5.  There's also controversy about certain clauses in his contract w/ U of L that include dishonesty and moral depravity as grounds for termination.  So, not only is he dealing w/ the blow to his family, religion, reputation and possibly his career, the other woman has allegedly attempted to extort money from the coach (reports vary from a few thousands to $10 million - nothing official has been confirmed thus far).  There's a whole secondary scandal about whether or not he paid her $3000 for an abortion as she claims or for health insurance costs as he claims, oh, and sometime after the "affair" she married the Pitino's team equipment manager.  So...that's what all the hoopla's about.

Personally, I liked Pitino bc I'm a Wildcats fan & he's a great coach.  To me, if the indiscretions can be overcome between him & the wife, then that's his business & private life.  If he's crazy enough to sign a contract wherein he's agreed to terms that mishavior that brings bad press/tainted rep to the school, then he's subject to those terms.  Does it make him a bad coach, no of course.  Was it wrong?  Of course.  It's also wrong that she's trying to extort money from him for an incident in which she participated with full consent.  Two people - two stupid mistakes and it's being tried in the media.  Tell her to keep her grubby hands to herself, tell him to face his wife & children - tell them both they've painted themselves into a corner, but they've got to deal w/ the unpretty consequences themselves.  Next story please.

Suggestions / Re: PREPAID CREDIT CARDS??
« on: August 05, 2009, 01:53:02 pm »Message ID: 77202
OK...so maybe I asked about the wrong thing...what I think I mean is can you use the pre-paid Visa or MC **gift** cards?  You know...they have actual 16 digit card numbers, exp dates & CVV codes, but they're better/safer than giving cash for things like graduations, birthdays, Christmas, etc which is what my grandmother tends to like to send me so I just wondered if anyone's used them before???

Suggestions / PREPAID CREDIT CARDS??
« on: August 02, 2009, 06:43:31 am »Message ID: 76123
Has anyone ever used or attempted to use prepaid credit cards for the completion of offers????  I'm somewhat interested in signing up for a few things, but until I know for sure that I'm going to like it & continue to use it, I'd rather not run the risk of tying up my $$ in my checking account.  Sometimes the cancellation process isn't so easy and it becomes a hassle to do so.  SO...I was thinking about using the prepaid cards so that I can add $$ at my discretion that's not tied directly to my bank account & will limit the $$ sponsors can draw.  I'm just worried that sometimes it asks for address information and in some cases if the addresses don't match it will decline your participation.  Since it's a prepaid card, there really isn't a "billing address" and sometimes it's not even listed in your name at all.

I'd love some advice if anyone's willing to share!!  Thanks!
