Off-Topic / Re: Never too old for a cartoon.

I'm also firmly in the "old cartoon" camp. :) My 3-year-old's current favs are Scooby Doo and Looney Tunes (especially the Roadrunner). Some of the preschool cartoons are okay I like Word World and Caillou but I HATE Spongebob and Thomas the Train and we don't watch either of those.

What does PG mean?

Another way of saying let's keep it clean. :)

Using Movie and TV Ratings!

G= General Audience
PG= Parental Guidance Suggested
PG 13= Parents Strongly Cautioned
R= Restricted

I have always done the dailies. Paid to Click, the Daily email, videos, and surveys.

I have also made the rounds with the free or no credit card required offers, I look these over periodically but haven't come across anything new that would interest me in quite awhile. When I was new though there were several. :)

Aside from joining a book club, I have spent $0 on this and am very happy with how much I've made.

Good Luck to you!

I have been busting my butt with school lately (almost done woohoo) and I've been rewarding myself with vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and homemade cookie crumbles while I unwind by watching episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix.

When you feel like treating yourself what's your guilty pleasure??

I have no idea where I'm at.....may never reach Platinum level status but why not! :) It never hurts to get recognition out to our greatest helpers!

Suggestions / Re: Cashout Bonus
« on: November 28, 2011, 12:28:47 am »Message ID: 452054
If you are talking about the site that I think you are then they just transferred $3 from your last cash-out to start you anew. You already earned that money you just don't get to have it unless you postpone your cash-out and try to make $10 in 30 days then apparently you get the whole thing but start at $0 for the next month or $2 if you take the survey. Oh and if you take a break from the site then they won't pay you. (It's happened to me twice)

Hang around, participate in the forum and you can get $3 a month from posting regularly rather than having $3 left in your account when you cash out. :)  I have yet to find a GPT site that is better and offers more opportunities than this one. I have taken a couple of breaks from here when things have gotten a little crazy in my life and have never had a problem getting paid after I requested my cash-out regardless of whether I have visited or not since that time.

Off-Topic / Re: Is being Rich materially all that its cracked up to be???

I doubt it but I definitely wouldn't turn down the chance to be able to find out. Especially being able to take my son anywhere and do anything because we had enough money and enough time to do it. Things like that Poseidon hotel where you can stay in an underwater room on the reef. Awesomeness. The money itself wouldn't make me happy but being able to spend that time with my child and giving him interesting experiences would!!

Off-Topic / Re: Cybershopping or Brave the Crowd???

Usually I don't brave the crowds but I did this year because I wanted a bunch of the preschool games that they had on sale at Target for $3.99. :) So I went at midnight for my son and then when I saw the ENORMOUS supply they had stockpiled I took my son back later that day to choose some games to donate to the local Toy Drive.

I will be at least looking at the Cyber Monday deals. Fingers crossed that the ergonomic keyboard that I have been obsessing over is on sale!!!

Off-Topic / Re: Having a hard time
« on: November 27, 2011, 11:53:10 pm »Message ID: 452049
The problem with memories is that they are always colored by what you feel now AND when you are remembering things you tend to remember good things or bad things depending on your mood. One of the reasons that depression can be so strong is that you have a much harder time pulling up memories that make you happy.

HUGE HUGS!

I hope that you are on an uptick soon!

Off-Topic / Re: Some Peoples Children

I have always tried to follow the "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all" which unfortunately seems to be a completely foreign concept these days. Although I shouldn't be by now rudeness still continually surprises me. Too many people caught up in their own lives to have consideration for others I guess. :(

Off-Topic / Re: At what age do we tell our children the truth?
« on: November 27, 2011, 01:29:40 pm »Message ID: 451777
My son is 3 and I'm not sure when I'm going to tell him. I'm sure that he will figure it out before I even think about it although he has said before that grandpa is Santa (I think it's the beard lol). I don't think that its any more harmless than pretend friends. It's a part of children's development to figure out what is real and what is not and that there are pretend things that adults do so that the children have more fun. There's something much more magical about the Easter Bunny hiding eggs in the backyard than it is for Mommy to hide eggs in the backyard. :)

« on: November 27, 2011, 01:11:10 pm »Message ID: 451759
It depends on what you would consider abnormal! For me it's usually the people involved and the context in which the conversation takes place. :)

I would view most conversations a normal topic depending on the people's interests or whatnot. I mean if you worked in a museum or something then a normal topic of conversation may be the possible location of the next great discovery in Egyptian archeology. For my 3-year-old an explanation for why Lois Lane doesn't realize that Clark Kent is really Superman would be a normal topic of conversation....between 2 men on a construction site probably not so much.

Payments / Re: Secrets to a high cash out!!! Advice pls!!!
« on: November 25, 2011, 01:46:25 pm »Message ID: 450978
I think consistency is definitely a key (and something that I have been having the most trouble with lately). If you consistently put in the time on the PTC, daily emails, forum posts, attempt 1 or 2 surveys a day, and gather *active* REFERRALS you will be making money in no time. :)

Some people do really well especially on the referral front and can cash out lots. Others, like me, use this as just on-line shopping play money so I float in and out of activity as I need money. :)

GOOD LUCK!!

Off-Topic / Re: what is your favourite dessert?

Oh man!!! I can only pick one????? Hmmmmm......

I guess with only one choice I would have to go with Starbucks Hot Chocolate Ice Cream. I'm a huge dessert fan and could fill a whole page of desserts that I love and would not be happy living without. ;)
