Offers / Re: 2 new microsoft videos!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: November 03, 2010, 07:37:25 am »Message ID: 263430
But I wish that Bing video would quit popping up.  I don't want to do it because I don't want any toolbars.  The only toolbars I have are FusionCash and the Norton one.  I don't need any more.   :BangHead:

I just did the Bing video, made sure to receive the credit, and then I uninstalled it. I hate having too many toolbars also. Makes the computer slow down too much.

How do you uninstall toolbars?  I have too many and would like to eliminate some.  Thanks :)

Off-Topic / Re: Do you recycle at home?
« on: November 02, 2010, 05:46:31 am »Message ID: 262793
Yes we do.

We have containers supplied by our City.

One for newspaper and Cardboard.

One for cans, plastic, and glass.

Once a week, the City picks up our Recyclables curbside.  This service makes it very easy to recycle.

I keep aluminum cans separate and take them in for cash.

We have had a number of cats over the years and never encountered this problem like you have with Olivia being up all night.

THAT would not go over well with my husband.

I hope the suggestions about trying "kitty milk" help you.

I worked today and will do so tomorrow.

I also am sharing my free to join online opportunity that pays me.  It is very exciting to be building a "Penny-Generating Machine" - a lot like Facebook.  (The creator of Facebook is a Billionaire from his free site!)

Look me up on Facebook :)

Off-Topic / Re: Oil Change
« on: November 01, 2010, 05:10:05 pm »Message ID: 262535
All cars and manufacturers will have different intervals in which they recommend when to change your oil.  Just check in your maintenance manual and you'll get the answer.  There's usually two intervals to choose from: Normal driving conditions, and special conditions (which include towing, excessive idling, off-road driving, etc.).

We have a 2010 Ford Focus SES.  Ford recommends for normal driving every 6 months or 7,500 miles, whichever comes first.  That is exactly what we do.  If Ford is saying 6 months or 7,500 miles, than you know that it probably was tested for even higher on both, but they come to these numbers  as what they feel are safe to keep cars out of warranty service.  If the engineers thought these intervals were too extreme, the manufacturer wouldn't recommend them.  They wouldn't want engines blowing out and doing warranty service on them the first 5 years or 60,000 miles.  There'd be a lot of lost money.

Don't always go by what your dealer or quick lube places suggest.  Of course they are going to recommend 3 month/3,000 mile or 5 month/5,000 mile intervals.  It just strums up more business for them.  Also, more oil is just getting wasted which could still had been used for several thousand miles more, possibly.  That's hardly conserving on resources.

But, as an owner, everyone needs to do what makes them feel more at ease and comfortable.

I always thought the Rule of changing your oil every 3,000 miles was Standard.  I better check out the owners manual!

If you reply to a post does it apply to the getting paid to post promotion?

Yes Amandalynn77, replying does count if it meets these stipulations from the rules:

A contributory post is one that offers some insight, makes people laugh, carries a conversation, provides information or help, or something along those lines.

If you reply to someone's question with helpful info, it counts.
If you reply in a conversation, it counts.

I would have to vote for chocolate.  I love heath bars.  they are my all time favorite.

I am with you rbeal2324!  Heath bars are my favorite too.

I know dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you, but I prefer milk chocolate anyday.

I prefer natural nails.

Personally I think the long fake nails look "fake".  I do not think they are appealing at all.

Our daughter had our granddaughter when she was just 17 years old.

It was hard and certainly was not planned.  We were there for her and helped her, but she was "the mother"....we were/are the grands.  As parents we are here for our kids no matter how old they are.  That was a big help for our daughter.  Our granddaughter is now 14.

Our daughter finished high school and went to college.   If there had been a choice, she would have waited to have children until she was older.

Of course we cannot imagine life without our granddaughter now.  But I would advise teenagers to wait to have children.

Off-Topic / Re: Can you love a baby .....
« on: November 01, 2010, 04:40:50 pm »Message ID: 262495
This would be a very difficult situation.

I don't believe in abortion so I would be leaning toward adopting the baby.  Someone mentioned Open Adoption so they could remain a part of the baby's life.  That is worth considering because the baby is still "your" baby too.

Counseling for the mother would be important.

Answering questions the child has about "dad"  later will be very tough too.
