back to the topic of Allvoices...My account in FusionCash hasn't been credited even though I have this message from Allvoices:

Your Account Is Now Active!

Thanks for inviting your friends to join Allvoices!

I'll check back later today--but as others have said, some credit, some don't.

Thanks for sharing the link to the story about messages in bottles.  I never would have thought that there would be so many messages sent in bottles.

It would be really cool to find one.

I found this offer by listing the offers alphabetically.

But so far I haven't received credit from it, even though I confirmed my email and am officially signed in to the Allvoices site....hmmmm???

Our temp got to high 50's today.  This week has been pleasant in Minnesota after a very wet and chilly October.

I have a tattoo, but was not pregnant when I got it.

It was my gift to my husband for his 50th birthday....he always wanted me to get a tattoo and I don't care for them.  BUT, I got one for him....it is a rose and is one my low back.   I forget I have it -- out of sight, out of mind :)

Off-Topic / Re: Whole Family Gift Ideas!
« on: November 12, 2009, 03:05:11 pm »Message ID: 108800
Not knowing how much you want to spend as the limit for this family gift makes it harder to make suggestions.....

I like your volleyball set idea.....could be croquet or bocce ball too

If they like to grill, how about $xx.xx worth of steaks?  (we used to give the parents a box of steaks each Christmas and they looked forward to it)

A firepit for the backyard?

Another approach we did for years was "The Exchange".  Each person who participates in the exchange brings a wrapped gift -- the price limit is agreed upon before hand by all parties involved.  Men bring men gifts, Women bring women gifts.  (We also limited this to just the adults because kids don't understand the "game"---you'll understand when you read on....)

At the family gathering where we did the Exchange, we placed all the wrapped gifts in the middle of the room.  Numbered slips were made up and drawn.  #1 went to the gift pile and opened a gift.  Then #2 has the option to choose a gift from the pile OR he/she can STEAL the gift that #1 has already opened.  This continues with #3, #4, #5, etc.....each person has the option to choose an unopened gift or steal from those already opened.

We put a limit of 2 steals on each gift (so if "gift A" has been stolen twice, it is now out of play---no one can steal it).

I hope that explanation made sense!

Off-Topic / Re: BRING BACK THE OLD CARTOONS!

I'm from the old school so don't recognize most of the cartoons named in the poll.

I loved Foghorn Leghorn , Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Snagglepuss, Road Runner and Wiley Coyote.

Our kids liked Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs.

I don't watch much tv now so am out of the loop for current cartoons.
