I find it shocking and just plain ignorant when coming from the mouth of one who does not have children.
And yes times are changing. Im not sticking up for the parents who spend no time with their children, its sad.

I have children, 5 of them!!

Coming from the same person who awhile back said you had no kids and was saving yourself... hmmm I guess your topic fits well with you then.

I  butterfly's avatar's too!!   Did anyone see the new tv show "Raising Hope"?  The 1st show was on last night.  It was about hopes & dreams and how "it's important to have dreams because when you stop dreaming, you're just sleeping".   Dare to dream!!
I watched that one with my daughter, we loved it.

And your welcome, Butterfly!!

The Wiccan religion is one I love. I think if people would understand it better and not assume they did they could learn allot from the elders.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with cloth napkins?  I have so many (given to me) and would like to use them for something but I can't seem to think of a good way to put them to use.
If you give candy out at Halloween time. Buy the tootsie pops and place one sucker right in the middle of the cloth napkin secure it around the bottom of the sucker part with some thread. Will make them look like little ghosts. My kids did this one year and loved it.

wait, what about paying for air for your tires? what's with that? remember when you could go the gas station and get free air? when did that go away? that really irks me.  I'll drive a little farther just to get free air who cares if my tire is really, really flat.

Yes I do. Were I live they charge .75 cents now!!

Native Americans and Wiccans aren't trying to take over the world with any religious dogma...so I respect them.  I still don't agree these beliefs are based in reality, but at least they're not actively infringing on the rights of society at large.  If religion has to exist at all, it should follow this example.

Ya'll have fun. I DON"T DO HALOWEEN. I believe it is from the pits of hell.

I will!  I'll have a blast!  And I'll help raise money and toys for kids who won't have any this holiday season in the process.
You are the best!!
And I love all the pics. The girls and I have yet to carve a pumpkin. Or bake the pumpkin seeds.. Mmmm.
And for another post on here we celebrate All Hallows Eve as it should be, a day of recognizing the dead. Yes its fun to dress up and go trick or treating. But we take time to honor and remember all our loved ones and people who have died for our country. Just as some people honor that on a different occasion.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Legalize Marijuana?
« on: October 05, 2010, 06:39:09 am »Message ID: 249003
that gateway theory is very weak and transparent. EVERYTHING IS A GATEWAY! you drink soda, then move up to coffee, then 5 hour energy. don't single out marijuana. Also marijuana is the safest "mind-alterng" substance. and as posted befor, it all depends on the strain. There are thousands of different kinds of marijuana. each is different. marijuana has caused, are you ready?, ZERO deaths SINCE IT'S DISCOVERY! let's look at alcohol and tobacco. Oh look, thosands are dying RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE from them. and weed is illegal.

Yep your right, but remember Reefer Madness,, that's probably what most of these people have watched and have based their assumption on... haha funny movie might I add.

I tell you what, If all you people that are argueing so much about this would just take the time to read my post, it woulod open your blind eyes to many of the benefits of hamp/marijuana. IT CURES CANCER AND MANY OTHER DISEASES!!!!!!!!!!!

You really need to just chill out and burn a big joint. It would calm your nerves and relieve your stress.

That it does my friend!! That it does. More people are just aware of what the media or their parents have taught them rather than doing the research and study for themselves, small minded thinkers. Pick up any book on marijuana and actually read the effects it has on people and I know allot on here will be say WOW hmmm I want to learn more. You do not have to be a smoker or user of the plant to educate yourself on this matter.

Love it. And I agree if you really want something and you set your mind on it and work on it as a goal, dream, ect. you will achieve. Everyone ultimately sets their own reality. :star:  :star:

I have two girls, and I love being a mom.
I think (referring to an above post) you have to build a very strong foundation with your children, let them know that you are their for them.
IN NO WAY do I think my kids are in any way shape or form an investment.
