Off-Topic / Re: Batman or Robin?

Joker and Harley Quinn for sure. They had to work in order to get to their positions. Nothing was handed to them. And they did it by themselves-no side kicks necessary. No fancy Butlers, mansions or awesome vehicles. They had to recruit followers and they managed to get more people working for them than just one side kick. Joker would be my choice out of the two as he lives during social unrest and economic disparity-kind of like modern day America. I root for the underdog who has been wronged by society (repeatedly). Getting lost in the system, at the mercy of a society that cares for no one but themselves, denied access to mental health medications, and repeatedly abused yet rising above it all with anger versus two silver spoon 'heros' that add to the abuse the Joker receives. Yep, Joker is the winner here.

Off-Topic / Veto Proof Bill
« on: December 11, 2020, 01:55:57 pm »Message ID: 1346669
A bill is considered veto proof if a two thirds vote in the house and senate is achieved. A sweeping defense bill was passed by the senate on December eleventh with a vote of eighty four to thirteen. The impeached, soon to be ex, president had promised to veto this bill because it did not include a repeal of Section 230/law that shields internet companies from what is posted on their websites. Just hours before the vote, donald said that he hoped the Republicans would vote against this act "which I will Veto". Tough month for the lad as he loses the election to Biden over and over with each new vote count and more than fourty eight out of fifty cases have been rejected or dropped. The supreme court has stated that "voters, not lawyers, choose the president".

Off-Topic / Time Magazine's Person of the year 2020

Awarded to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris leaving donald unusually quite given this, his second loss to Biden. The magazine acknowledged that the two have got quite a challenge ahead of them as they try to repair "the fracture in society, the division that has been stoked by trump and his presidency" per Time magazine, bringing the pandemic under control and working on decreasing racial justice per Time magazine. Biden/Harris represents something historic (per Time) beating three other finalists: Dr. Anthony Fauci, the racial justice movement and "and donald trump, who lost the White House race". Time's editor in chief stated the win was "for changing the American Story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world".

Off-Topic / New title awarded
« on: December 10, 2020, 07:26:08 am »Message ID: 1346626
to donald trump. German Magazine Der Spiegel has bestowed, upon the impeached one, the title of "The Loser of the Year". This award was given for: refusal to take responsibility in the worst crisis the country has suffered for one hundred years; complicity in the deaths of numerous Americans; politicizing and playing down the pandemic; complete weakness driven by a disdain for science and expertise; blaming Antifa for violence while setting himself apart from right-wing extremist militias; being impeached (of course);unfounded  dismissal of numerous officials; division of the country not as a by product but as a goal; refusal to accept election defeat (even after eight plus supreme court decisions); and his presidency ending as it began-without decency and without dignity. Not quite the Nobel prize that he and Putin were nominated for (and Obama won).

43 days to go.  The impeached one's appeals have all been rejected due to a lack of evidence, recounts have yielded more votes for the impeached one's replacement, and today marks the last day for any legal action yet there are still some that stick to the belief that somehow the impeached one still has a chance. Could it be that he fights so hard due to all of the shenanigans he used to get into office? Hidden payments to a playboy bunny and pornographic star so they would keep quiet and the religious right would support his bid for presidency? Alleged Russian election interference with him ending up as president? Stating higher asset values in order to procure loans and lower asset values in order to pay less in taxes? Avoidance of the emoluments lawsuit, tax evasion law suit, and sexual harassment law suits (to name a few)? Down playing the CoVid virus (failing to lead, criticizing remedies) that is currently producing more death than the 1918 flu? Hostile sexism? Playing down his diminutive view of women ("Grab'm by the...")? His racism acknowledgement? Calling for a ban on all Muslims wishing to enter the U.S. in 2015? Generalizing mexican immigrants as "criminals and rapists"? Insulting the Chinese by labeling covid as the "Kung-Flu"? His affront on Black Americans: a court loss over his refusal to rent to Black tenants; Stating that there were "many fine people" among white supremacists in 2017; stating that all people from Haiti have aids and should return to their huts; referencing Haiti and Africa as sh#tho#e countries. With all of this negativity, the impeached one wonders how he lost the election? Thank Heaven we have avoided what could have been the impeached dictator's World War II. Kind of tells us that there are still a majority of positive, loving people in this country and hope that our Nation can be repaired.

A truly Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all! It has been a tough year for many and your merriment is appreciated. Hopefully the impeached one has his stocking filled with the realization that he has lost and the country can move on. I have not looked it up but I would hope that a presidential pardon can not extinguish his pre-presidential crimes. I am also hopeful that bankruptcy cannot be used to get rid of debts created by his campaigning. His tab was up to  one point eight million dollars of unpaid campaign debt in April of this year. One can only imagine what that has jumped to and given his bankruptcy track record, it is not hard to imagine what will happen to that debt. How soon till he starts screwing around on Melania-again?

Off-Topic / Re: Going to travel for the holidays?
« on: December 02, 2020, 05:32:48 pm »Message ID: 1346214
o travel for the Christmas/New Year Holidays. This will be the first time since I was a teenager and I am so happy! We went to the mountains for Thanksgiving which was great but I look forward to just lounging around the house. We have relatives/friends coming in from Wisconsin, Georgia and Illinois for Christmas. I think we will be the Christmas host house from now on. My mother is in a memory care unit about a mile from our home and I would like to get our little group to do some Christmas Carols outside my mother's window just to help her cope with the assisted living quarantine. It appears that the pandemic is poised to beat the 1918 American/Spanish flu and Caroling seems to be the best way to keep from exposing my mother.

I never put up my decorations prior to Thanksgiving even though I should take advantage of the nicer weather while it is in town (Colorado). The weather was nice yesterday (November thirtieth) and I had just gotten back from Thanksgiving in the Mountains with my family so I spent three and a half hours decorating one tree in my front yard. I also picked up a Christmas tree from Costco which was good timing because there were only six left for the season (although I could have gone to five other Costco's located within a thirty minutes drive). I let the branches drop for twenty four hours and will move it inside this evening. We will be purchasing two additional potted trees for decoration and plant them in the spring. We always like to double what has been taken. We will use the Costco tree for fire wood after it has dried out anough.

I have already set my goals for two thousand and twenty one. Some minor tweaks will occur as I dig into my new routine on a practice basis in December but I am pretty set. This will be the first year that I will be using a bullet journal in lieu of my usual Franklin Covey planner since nineteen ninety two. I am becoming more expense conscious as part of my goals. I have also assigned a daily total to the cost of my food which will be lower than what people get for food stamps, I have done this before and am able to eat quite well. I do include costs like toiletries as well (toilet paper, tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, shampoo, etc.). I haven't determined what will be done if I have slow downs with all but my day job other than additional income stream analysis.

Raccoons are typically nocturnal creatures. My experience was that the babies, up till about eight or nine months, are cute and cuddly. They tend to become more wild at that age. My grandmother had a grocery store in the country and I brought home a baby raccoon-asked her if I could keep it as a pet. She said no so I snuck it into a cage in a store room that she rarely went into. At around eight months the creature figured out how to open the cage and destroyed the store room. It took me a week to get it cleaned up and several months to regain my grandmother's trust. I have seen YouTube videos where the raccoons appear to have become domesticated but ultimately, they are creatures born in the wild and need to be free.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you keep Secrets?

Yes. A great many secrets. Growing up with an attorney father, degrees in psychology and business, and working with the complete financial histories of thousands of clients I learned and was required to maintain client confidentiality. Several of my wife's friends/employees became clients of mine and I would not share any of their information with my wife (drove her nuts). I currently do a lot of investigative work for a large corporation and run across people found in the news. Above and beyond that, in my personal life, I do not keep secrets, I keep people out of my business. My wife and I, prior to getting married, shared our hobbies. Hers was fitness. Mine was asset accumulation. I promised to give her all money from two full time jobs for family expenses. Additional streams were fair game (ie fusion cash).

Hooray! Things are getting back to normal at Fusion cash. It would be nice to see some of the back fusion cash posting bonuses awarded and the task surveys popping up again (I just started using them a few weeks before they disappeared). This was the toughest stretch I have seen since my introduction to Fusion cash over ten years ago. I have some days off coming up and will try to complete a bunch of surveys. It has been a while since I have cashed out. I hope that Fusion cash comes back stronger than before in two thousand and twenty one. I am wondering if the latest dry spell was due to up grades or a tough time with advertisers. Alot of survey companies appeared to be doing pretty good during election time as the surveys asked alot about political backgrounds and voting intentions.

Such a relief! It is good to see functionality returning. It can be a little unsettling to have one's daily routine adjusted due ti inaccessibility to certain functions. I would like to see the three dollar fusion cash bonuses return. I did not receive bonuses in April and May and am hoping to see a bonus for completing thirty one posts in October. After ten years of visiting Fusion Cash nearly every day I have faith that they will make good on previously earned bonuses. In either case, I am still getting the benefit of better typing skills and maintaining my daily habits. I am glad that everyone else is seeing things return to normal as well. I love this site and it has been really good and consistent (one of my favorite sites). Just needed a little patience during these trying times.

« on: November 11, 2020, 02:20:21 pm »Message ID: 1344748
I have already taken the Friday after Thanksgiving off to put up Christmas decorations. I think that putting up decorations for a Holiday before another Holiday expires does a disservice, in this case, to giving Thanks for all that we have been blessed with. We lost one tree last year which was one of the harder trees to decorate so I am a little more excited about putting up decorations. I am hoping that the year 2021 is better than 2020 has been for so many people. Decorating for the Holidays will, hopefully, help people forget some of the horrible things that happened in 2020. With this thought in mind, I will go heavier with holiday decorations than I have in the past.I have already started looking up games to play on New Year's Eve with friends and family.

Off-Topic / Re: Report: Wisconsin Election Clerks May Have Illegally Altered Thousands of Ballot

Not sure a few thousand votes would make a difference when Biden appears to be over five million votes ahead and electoral votes twenty points over the two hundred and seventy required to become president elect? Counting more votes has increased Biden's vote lead. These were allegations made during the Gore/Bush presidential election when the count was considerably closer and the courts through it out. So many conspiracy theories...would Russian translators need to be called in to count all the votes for the current president? So many angles to take on this but, historically, recounts have changed voting numbers by less than four hundred and fifty votes. This being said, it is time for the impeached president to move on and make way for the new President.
