Off-Topic / Re: Who rembers there 3rd grade Teacher?
« on: January 02, 2011, 01:35:21 pm »Message ID: 293347
My third grade teacher was Ms. Lawnicki...blond-hair, blue-eyes, appeared to be 7 ft tall (from a 3rd grader's perspective) and every boy in my class had a crush on her.  Hated to go to Mr. Schmirler in 4th and Ms. Conrad in 5th but found redemption in Ms. Holly in 6th.  Ahhh..the wonder years of early youth!

I like making money and have made my hobby out of making cash above and beyond my regular day and night job (which goes to support my family).  No matter how big or small I get joy out of salting away passive income. My hobby includes rewards for opening checking accounts with direct deposit(worth about $1100 last year) to aluminum can recycling ($200.00), PTC's ($600.00), E-mails ($150.00), Interest earned off of loans given from this cash stash  ($300.00), selling found junk ($550.00), etc.,.  My New Years Resolution is to make over $5,000 with my hobby and possibly start a news letter alerting people to places they may make additional cash.

I am the proud father of a tremendous duo: a 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son.  One wants to go to Harvard and the other wants to go to Duke which is why I utilize everything at my disposal for making cash. Please let me know if you have any other ideas on making passive cash.  I do this site and about ten others while working at two and a half full time jobs.  Coffee and five hour energy drinks have become my staple! Their excellence in all that they do  and being able to get them ahead are the only rewards that I look fo.

Debate & Discuss / Re: MY LIFE SUCKS

I think that there is always someone out there who will be: stronger, richer, more beautiful, healthier, more athletic or has a suckier life.  I believe that you should try finding that person with a suckier life and, in your journey, try to help those that have met with misfortune. I have a feeling that, not only will you grow less suckier as you help others, you will appreciate how truly lucky you are in life.

On immediate family: Wife $250.Daughter/Son $500. Mom/Dad/Sister $50.00, Niece $150.00, Stepbrother and wife $50.00, Brother in Law $50.00, Dog $25.00 so I guess it comes to about $1500.00 with miscellaneous other gifts that crop up.  Travel takes up another grand.

Somewhat hypocritical...I like when people put thought into my gift and am somewhat put off by receiving a gift that wasn't good enough for them.  Yet If I receive something that someone else would benefit from I have no problem giving it to them.  But I usually tell them that it was a gift that I received from someone else.

It really depends on the item dropped, the surface that it hits and the location I am at. If it is a moist item(popsicle/lollipop) I would be hard pressed to employ any motion in placing it back in my mouth. If it were a hard item that wouldn't retain germs (m and m/oreo cookie) I would give it a minute and put it in my mouth. If it hit my floor I wouldn't have a problem because my house is clean...If it hit my sister's house (who has 4 dogs) I wouldn't touch it with rubber gloves. Homes are safer than gas stations and malls and warrant my rules in eating much faster.

5 years together (and still getting along), one child(another on the way), and buying a house together...to me it sounds like you are married sans decree and ring.  Is there a huge age difference between the two of you?  Have you been living together for five years?  Do you get along with each others parents? If you have lived together for 6 months, in Colorado, you are considered married.

My wife is a cancer survivor and swears by organic food to the point of going overboard...fruits and vegetables yes...toilet paper and tooth paste-no. Death is inevitable and we are constantly finding out about something new that is bound to kill us. Live life to it's fullest and enjoy every day because it is a gift.  Worrying about every little thing is not living a full life...use common sense.

Flowers once every six weeks, greeting card once per month, get away for lunch every two weeks, date night once per month, Saturday morning snuggling/mooning, thoughtful gifts on non-descript anniversarys, stumbling over "kissing spots" everywhere, listening and being attentive, giving her time with the girls and not having an ounce of jealousy in my body.

I am not in the Christmas mood until I hear Bruce Springstein's version of "Santa Clause is coming to town" and always crack up when Bruce asks Clarence if he's been good and is going to get a new saxophone for Christmas!  Ho-ho-ho! Merry Christmas!

I waited till I was 31, somewhat financially secure, and was extremely detail oriented when dating so as to uncover anything that may have caused our marriage not to work. 17 years later and going strong.  The only mistake was I asked about her parents, both deceased, but failed to ask about siblings...six alcoholic never-do-goods...2 of whom are in and out of jail!  We will survive!

Off-Topic / Re: Have you ever had your clothes dry cleaned?
« on: December 06, 2010, 09:23:22 am »Message ID: 281234
I go to the drycleaners every 2-3 weeks.  I was using a lady who had just opened shop but she lost my business when she couldn't process my credit card, wouldn't accept a check, and I had to drive home to get another credit card...while balancing precariously on crutches due to a broken foot.  I now go to a place that is 30% more expensive but knows me by name, comes to my car to pick-up/drop off my drycleaning and bills me monthly. Service is key!

Compassion, empathy, a warm heart, listening skills, love for 97% of the human race.  From a physical stand point: my warm brown eyes convey truthfulness and a caring attitude.
