Debate & Discuss / Re: is this nation heading towards another civil war
« on: May 15, 2010, 11:29:42 am »Message ID: 179943
this nation, as bad as it is, is nowhere near as torn as it was during the civil war. i mean, look at John Brown at that time. the north viewed him as Moses, and the South viewed him as Satan.  :angel12:
another point is that the country now is a lot more mixed thanks to transportation. it would be hard for people to quickly move to the side they want to defend. During the civil war, there was an obvious north and an obvious south. it was obviously cut.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Buddhism Question
« on: May 15, 2010, 11:24:13 am »Message ID: 179937
Random question, but is there a weight requirement for Buhddists? Ya know, the Buddha was quite a fat fella from what I've seen.

Nobody really knows how the fat Buddha thing started. Buddha was a skinny guy. I believe that they show him fat because he is all happy and enjoying life, not worrying about silly things like weight.
