Off-Topic / Re: Does your dog snore?
« on: January 29, 2014, 09:53:26 am »Message ID: 844587
My dog is currently in the bedroom just snoring away!  It's sooo funny, she's so noisy!  I'm in another room and I can hear her really well.

It just makes me laugh so much ... she's a Pomeranian mix and old, but man can she SNORE!
You know that it is funny that you mentioned this. I have a small dog that snores, too. He doesn't do it all the time just when he really gets some good sleep just chillin' in the recliner with me or another family member. You know when it is going to start cause he will flip over on his back. He will have all 4 of his feet pointed straight up in the air. It is so funny to see. If you didn't know better you would think he weighed at least 100 lbs. by the sound of his snoring. He might weigh 8 lbs soaking wet! You can't help but LOVE EM!!

I'm in KY and it snowed again last night.  Roads are terrible.
I'm here in Alabama and it is snowing right now. Oh my gosh it is a terrible mess! There are people stranded on the roads because the snow is powder and as it is getting packed it is turning to ice. The temperature is 17 and it is suppose to drop to about 0. There have been wrecks upon wrecks. People are abandoning their cars on the interstates and walking trying to get to a warm place. We are not equipped to handle this kind of weather. The weather channel is saying that we will continue to get snow until late this evening and the roads will be worse by tomorrow. I am so glad that I did not get caught out in this mess!

What Would You Do Without Fusioncash? I Say, It Has Helped Me Out A Few Times This Past Year.  :)
I guess I would be doing without! I agree with you ; Fusion Cash has helped me out on SEVERAL occasions. I really do enjoy this site. It is so hard to find a site that is exactly what they claim. Most are nothing but scams.

i had an appointment at social security at 10am and they made me sit there till 245 before calling me i think if you have an appointment you should be seen as soon as possible to that time there were people who were just walk ins that came in after me and left way before i was even seen and the thing that got me is all i was doing was changing my name on my ss card to my married name
Bless your heart! I don't blame you for getting mad! I hate having to do anything that deals with the government. It seems as though when you go there they act like they are doing you a favor for just doing what they are hired to do. That shows another way our hard earned tax money is wasted. The way I look at it if you don't want to work then step aside and let someone else work.

It snowed a lot in my area... I think I got like 10 inches of snow, but some of it is melting away... Cancelled the first two days of college for me
I am so happy that it did not snow here! I HATE snow!! It is awfully cold here though and Alabama isn't even equipped to deal with temperatures in the low teens. I will be happy for the little warm-up that is suppose to be heading our way. I guess I shouldn't complain though; I know other states are having a terrible time right now. Just another reminder to myself on the blessings I have. I shouldn't complain it can always be worse!

Whats everyones weekend plans?  Just spending time with family here.
I don't really have any plans for this week-end,just probably stay home and relax. I have a new book that I want to get started on. I might watch a movie or just take a little time to pamper myself. The week is always so hectic that by the time the week-end does get here I am usually to worn out to do too much of anything. It is so cold here anyway!

I took my wife out for our anniversary we rarely go any where but anyway we went to a Japanese restaurant we had never been to it before  we went in was seated at a very large table with a rill in the middle the food was cooked it was awesome but there was 6 lady also seated at the table with us birthday party they were excessively loud the birthday woman yes I said woman they were in theire fourties and were so loud that me and my wife could not even hear each other I justthink that everyone should be aware of others around them and know that they are not the only ones in the area before they came in the whole restaurant was fairly quiet
I hear ya! Bravo for that!!! There isn't anything much more annoying than trying to spend some quality time with your spouse only to have to deal with some folks who don't have any manners. It seems that  is also another sign of the times we now live in. You would think that even if you didn't get taught any manners at home that you could have enough common sense to notice that other grown-ups don't act that way out in the public. Go figure! People just amaze me at times.

It snowed again here in Georgia, not enough to stick, but it's so cold this morning I feel like the ground should be pearly white.....did it snow where you live....
I live in Alabama and we got just a few flurries yesterday around lunch time but the ground was too warm for it to stick. I am so happy for that! Alabamians are not equipped to deal with snow and I hate it. If I can admire it from inside the house than okay but if I have to get out in it then heck NO!. When we do get unlucky enough to get snow it is the really nasty kind. I prefer the cold rather than the snow.

Off-Topic / Re: Favorite Chicken Restaurant

So far for me it's KFC and Mexican style Pollo Loco.
I guess I am the odd ball today. I don't like KFC at all. Everytime I have ate there it made me sick. I love Popeyes and Churches chicken. But if I had to choose between those two then it would have to be Churches. I do love the dirty rice that Popeyes has though. I want to try Zaxby Chicken but I just haven't made it over there yet. Chick Filet is really good but they are a little too expensive for me. The one other thing I like about Chick Filet is that they are closed on Sundays.

Off-Topic / Re: Do You Have Cable TV?
« on: January 20, 2014, 01:16:19 pm »Message ID: 841752
Cable is the way to for us.  We had direct TV but every time the weather acted up we'd lose reception, now we don't.  Everything is bundled (phone, internet, and TV) and we pay $130/month.
I would love to find another way to get tv other than what I have right now. I pay 156.00 a month but I have everything bundled. The area I live in I can't receive anything without cable. I don't have a dish but the power goes off quite often and then you have to reboot the system. I guess there really isn't much of a reason for me to complain though; I do get all the channels.

Off-Topic / Re: do you believe going to the doctors
« on: January 20, 2014, 01:10:14 pm »Message ID: 841747
I agree with your friend.  After all, the only thing doctors do is MASK anything that is wrong with you by giving you POISON in the form of "MEDICINE".  I believe the more natural way to heal is always the better way so that being said, no I don't believe in "going to the doctor"!!!!!
I have lost a lot of faith in our doctors. It seems as though we are all treated like a herd of cattle and not as the individuals  that we are. The medicine that is prescribed now has more side-effects than what we are suffering from. If I hollor to take me to the doctor then I am about on my death bed. I do alternative medicine when possible and I have used this method for about 30 years. I am a firm believer that our bodies will heal itself if given time and the appropriate herbs. vitamins. minerals and nutrients. The Chinese can't be all wrong; look at their average life span compared to ours.

Off-Topic / Re: Tacos or Quesadillas?
« on: January 17, 2014, 03:00:16 pm »Message ID: 840933
I prefer tacos over quesadillas, but I like both.
I like them both but if I had another choice then it would have to be Fajitas. I love Mexican food of all kinds. I don't eat it as much now as I did. I got burned out on it so I am taking a small break. Right now, I am just eating "GOOD OLE SOUTHERN FOOD"! Ya'll know like greens and homemade cornbread etc... :silly:

« on: January 16, 2014, 12:34:34 pm »Message ID: 840583
how you would now if your a Gleek is if you watch glee every week and buying the videos and watching it over and over again. You now you a Gleek when you could name all of the caractors on the show of glee. Or if you sit there for hours watching Glee marathons while you wait for season five comes out. So if your a Gleek  let me know. Also let me now how you felt when you heard about glee star corys early death do to the deadly mix of drugs and alcohol.
I watched it a couple of times when it first came out but I didn't really care for it. I am more of a true stories kind of girl. I also like to watch action movies and horror. I guess it is really an age thing because I don't care for american idol either. :peace:

8 tracks and 45 and albums  i do i still have all my 8trecks and albums i wish i could find a 8 track player
I remember those and that was some of the best years of my youth. I also remember 8mm movies and the slide shows. Do any of you remember those? The only thing I disliked about 8 tracks was they would get tangled up in the player sometimes and if you were lucky you could wind it back up. It didn't always work like that though.

Off-Topic / Re: BEING ON TIME
« on: January 16, 2014, 12:24:45 pm »Message ID: 840580
I have a really hard time being on time. For those of you who are always on time... how do you do it??
I hate being late for anything. I will get things ready the night before if I have somewhere I need to be the next day. I found that it helps to set the alarm for about 30 minutes earlier than I may think I need. That makes it a lot easier for a slow mover like me. I hate to have to jump up and rush around like a chicken with my head cut off; it tends to make me feel as though I am a step off the entire day.
