Days like today make it awful hard to sell Global Warming.  :)  For the record I never have bought into that idea.

Just have to keep in the thinking that marriage is based on Love and that Love is a series of sacrifices that you make for what you Love.

Off-Topic / Re: Suggestions for Destroying Floppy Disks

A magnet is a good but not always foolproof methoed because of variables in the manufacturing.  But if your wanting to be complient with HIPPA laws you might seek out the DATA storage and archive folks who will know how to destroy the Data on the floppies and remove your risk from legal entannglements by shifting the burdon of the destruction from you to them.  I remeber taking a Box of payroll records for 10 years from a company down to them on magnetic reel to reel tapes.

Dang it I lost a penny on that game but it was well worth it watching the game.   I think the colts came out swinging in the 2nd half and pulled off a fairy tale victory.  But then I also think that the cheifs pulled off a fairy tale season just making it into the playoffs.  I hope both their organizations continue to profit in this upcoming season.

Off-Topic / Re: The benefits of the cold weather

It is a mixed bag.  The freezing weather does kill off germs, bacteria, and insects like mosquitos, ticks and fleas but it also forces us humans to go inside where we trap and breathe air that is more laden with germs, viruses and bacteria because the air does not cicrulate.  Also since we are more likely to stay inside during colder weather we come in closer contact with other groups of people that we would not normaly be in contact with if folks were staying outside.

Off-Topic / Re: Will America always be free?
« on: January 03, 2014, 01:29:06 pm »Message ID: 835811
America has never been free.  It has been bought and paid for by the blood of patriots, rebels, and the men and women who have sacrificed themselves to allow us to have those freedoms.  As long as there are those type people willing to sacrifice their lives to protect those freedoms we will enjoy them.  But the very minute we become complacent and worry about being politically correct more than the values of our constitution we will lose those freedoms.  As for the Red Dawn scenario of a communist country taking over the United States you can put me down on the rebel side.

Off-Topic / Re: Gay Boy Scouts

As a former boy scout and a former leader in the boy scout organization it is my opinion that these boys are so not worried about their sexual orientation at that age as much as what skills they are learning such as first aid, camping, leadership, and other merit badges that they will earn to help them later in life.  I know of no skills one way or the other that have anything to do with sex or sexual orientation.  Guess the next target will be the girl scouts.

I have had rabbit and you cook it just like any other meat.  You can stew it, roast it, BBQ it, Fry it just about any way you can eat a chicken.  When I was growing up we would hunt them in the desert for their meat and skin them to sell their fur to the boot companies around El Paso for lining for their boots and gloves.
