Off-Topic / College
« on: November 08, 2010, 12:07:17 pm »Message ID: 266384
I am about to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Any advice for success?
And do yal think that a college degree is really worth all the money and time put into it?
What are the most successful degrees in your opinion? Or does it depend on where you live?

Ready.... Go!

I started an account maybe 8 years or so ago, but I haven't been on in months. All of my friends and family are on facebook now, so no real use for Myspace. I think it was more of a middle school - high school thing that we've all moved away from.

I smoked in high school, I guess a sort of a rebellious teenage thing. My granddaddy and grammy both smoke, and I do not want to end up like them when it comes to the coughing and addiction to it. That is why I stopped a a few years ago. I still tend to get a bt of a craving when I smell it or when I am drinking, but I will never start up again.

We do recognize it in west Texas. And I was so very grateful to get an extra hour of sleep, but man oh man was it hard getting up this morning! It usually takes me a week or so to adapt, but no worries I love waking up to sunshine instead of dark.

Same here, I'm trying to help pay some college bills! I'll graduate in December, so I defnitiley need all of the help I can get. I've been on this site a couple of weeks now and I think it's a great way to earn a little bit here and there. I have some down time on campus, so it works perfect to earn a little extra. Good luck to everyone!  ;D

I definitely think bullying is a topic that needs to be addressed. I grew up in a small town, so luckily there was not much physical violence, but emotional and psychological bullying took place every day. I think this occurs because of what kids see in the media: news, tv shows, movies, games, and on the internet. I am not a parent yet, so I do not have any first-hand advice there, but I think keeping a good relationship with your kids to where they can tell you their problems could help deter some situations from escalating.

I am Christian, but I have never heard of this before. It is probably some specific denomination's or church's view on the topic. I know many religions believe that you have to be baptized before being able to be accepted in Heaven, but I do not beilieve that. My personal view is that you only accept Christ as your personal savior.
