Debate & Discuss / Re: Cable Companies
« on: November 09, 2016, 09:37:13 am »Message ID: 1104168
We have Suddenlink in our area. I like them very much, but we just finally cut the cord after talking about it for a few years.

We kept the internet but dropped the cable. We went with a Roku 2 and have Netflix, HBO Now and PS Vue. It costs just about the same, maybe $5 a month cheaper, but we're getting all the stations we like plus HBO which we didn't have before. I've been very happy with the Roku.

I do when they come up. I had a recent one that I qualified for from here. They sent me the samples, but then they never called me for the follow up interview. The rep had sent me an email confirming the date and time he was going to call me, but he never did. I dropped him a quick email to say if he wanted to reschedule I'd be available to talk with him, but I never heard back from him again. Oh well!

The captcha was giving me some errors this morning for the PTC. I just clicked the 'code reload' link until it finally stopped giving the timeout error message.

Off-Topic / Re: What is your least favorite survey type?
« on: November 02, 2016, 08:23:57 am »Message ID: 1102674
I know a lot of people like them, but I'm not overly fond of the ones that have the huge, memory hogging plug-in that simulates a grocery shopping experience.  I have an older laptop, and more often than not, it freezes up just as the survey is getting started.

Even if I'm doing one of those surveys on my desktop which has more memory, I find the whole experience of 'walking' up and down an aisle and selecting an item from the shelf takes twice as long as just presenting me with a list of options and letting me chose from them.

I'm going to vote on either Friday or Saturday while I'm running errands. I'm worried that the lines may be very long on election day, and as I have to work, I don't want to have to either come in late or leave early.

Have you tried your local library? Most libraries have fax service available. Other options are stores like Staples, OfficeMax, UPS Store, and most pack and ship type stores.

FusionCash / Re: Awful Customer service and denied cashout - beware!
« on: April 20, 2015, 05:20:09 am »Message ID: 975739

In no way did I intentionally try and use this Alias - it is never used for GPT sites and only used to sign up for forums outside GPT and survey sites anonymously who have no business knowing my real identity.

I understand what you're saying that it was an honest mistake, and you didn't intentionally try to give them a false identity. I'm so sorry we don't have an answer for you.

Like Kimber said, this site is very strict when it comes to the rules. FC needs to be very careful, because there are so many regulations when it comes to financial transactions and identity, both from PayPal and from the government. If they had their PayPal account restricted or their business account frozen, which I've seen happen to other GPT sites who were less careful, it could devastate their business.

Of course none of that helps you and your situation at all. :( Again I'm so sorry and wish we had an answer for you.

While I'm sorry you must be very disappointed, unfortunately you didn't read the Terms of Service. Right up at the top it states:
Quote
"Users must provide valid and truthful information during all stages of membership at FusionCash. This clause applies to every form of interaction with a FusionCash representative, FusionCash's web properties, and FusionCash's affiliated advertisers and partners, including, but not limited to: personal information, location, support tickets, third-party signup information, and cashouts."

Also:
Quote
"A user's account may be disqualified and his or her earnings forfeit in, but not limited to, the following cases: He/she violates any of the terms set forth in these Terms of Service"

Finally, you can't use an alias on any type of GPT site. While many people have screennames they use to protect their privacy, everyone gives valid identification at registration.

That's not just  a rule of FusionCash, that's a legal requirement at any type of site where money is involved.

I use a screename for forums and such, but at all of my GPT sites (FusionCash, Swagbucks, MTurk, etc) they have my real identity in my account info.

Support / Re: Anyone with a GMX.com email address having issues receiving emails?

GMX (and other recently affected mail users) should be good to go as of now -- you can switch back to that address if you like!

Glad to hear it! I think I'll keep it at my Yahoo email now. That's the first email account I check in the morning anyway :) Thanks for your help!

Offers / Re: Not getting FC daily emails again
« on: January 04, 2015, 02:30:13 pm »Message ID: 948676
I had the exact same issue. It's not a problem with the email going to SPAM, it's a problem in that whatever mailing list provider is sending the daily emails, it is being rejected by certain people's email providers for some reason. So far the email providers I've seen being mentioned are GMX and RCN.

I resolved it myself by just changing my FC account email over to another Yahoo account I use.
