Debate & Discuss / Re: Is obesity child abuse?
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:21:51 pm »Message ID: 340186
i think it depends on why they are overweight and also how much over weight they are. because a child is going through a pudgy stage that will eventually even out once they hit a growth spurt then no that's not abuse. if it's due to a medical reason then no. if however you have a 10 year old that weighs 200 lbs for no reason other than you allowing them to load up on pizza and ho-ho's then yes that's abuse.

Life is really, really hard and I don't have the strength to keep it up anymore. What do I do?

first acknowledge that yes sometimes life flat out sucks and anyone who claims different is full of it. then take a moment to feel sorry for yourself, cry, scream, stomp your feet, throw something what ever you need to do to get it out. then do something about it. if you're depressed get counseling, if you're bored, seek a hobby, get a job, change jobs. if you're religious talk to your clergy. point is don't just complain that life is hard, do something about it.

well that would probably depend on what time of the day/night it was. day time i probably would. now if someone i don't know comes knocking on my door in the middle of the night then know i wouldn't. i'm cautious but i'm not a wimp. honestly i think sometimes woman get a bit to paranoid.

Off-Topic / Re: What do you think of the leashes for kids?
« on: April 02, 2011, 10:48:23 pm »Message ID: 334674
I WOULD NEVER USE ONE FOR MY KID'S.  I think you should be able to control your kid's. If not maybe you should found a babysitter when you go out.

are you planning on paying for the sitter? if not mind your own business.

Please let me kno what your opinion is about putting a child on a leash.

My personal opinion is that they are horrible for children. Yea they may help keep you child close as they tend to wonder off to places they shouldn't. but i think that if you can not keep track of your child that maybe you just shouldn't have kids. i believe that leashes were made for dogs and not children. as children listen better than dogs (in most cases).

that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. do you not realize there are people such as myself with physical disabilities that aren't able to run after a child who may try to wander off. the harness and lease help to be able to hold onto the child.
