« on: April 08, 2020, 05:05:05 am »Message ID: 1320196
John Prine is another celebrity that has passed away from COVID-19.  I have listened to his music for several decades now.  He beat cancer twice (throat and lung).  Prayers for comfort for his loved ones and fans.

Off-Topic / Daily Cash Pop-Up Blocked
« on: April 04, 2020, 05:13:45 am »Message ID: 1319570
For the third day in a row, the pop-up on the Daily Cash has been blocked by my malware software.  I have still gotten my two cents credit but I get a message that the site is potentially harmful and it was blocked.

Off-Topic / A White Christmas?
« on: December 20, 2019, 06:55:05 am »Message ID: 1305876
Is anyone expecting a white Christmas this year?  Our weather forecast says it will be in the 50's and sunny here in northeastern Kentucky on Christmas Day.  Which is okay with me.  I like warm weather as opposed to cold weather.  Besides, if we got much snow, we may not be able to make it to my parents' home.

Off-Topic / Evaluating Employees
« on: August 01, 2019, 04:51:09 am »Message ID: 1286459
RE: Quotes Taken from actual performance evaluations:
"Since my last report, this employee has reached rock bottom and has started to dig."
"His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity."
"I would not allow this employee to breed."
"This associate is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definitely won't be."
"Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap."
"When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there."
"He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle."
"This young lady has delusions of adequacy."
"He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them."
"This employee should go far - and the sooner he starts, the better."
"This employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot."

I think I have worked with some of these people in the past.

Off-Topic / Blackberry Winter
« on: May 15, 2019, 04:29:40 am »Message ID: 1275357
We are going through Blackberry Winter here in northeastern KY.  I noticed all the blackberries were in bloom this past weekend so that must be why we are having a cold snap.  My grandparents used to talk about all the "winters" (redbud winter, dogwood winter, blackberry winter etc.) when we would experience cold snaps during the spring.  Blackberry Winter is the last one to endure before it gets hot and stays muggy.

Gas prices are creeping up on us here in northeastern KY.  Jumped to $2.89.  Newsman said to expect higher prices throughout the summer.  Several factors involved for the increase.

Off-Topic / March Came in Like a Lamb
« on: March 01, 2019, 04:32:18 am »Message ID: 1264004
March has came in like a lamb in NE KY.  Today and tomorrow are supposed to be rather nice but look out on Sunday.  Turning into a wintery mix.  Forecasters are still up in the air on the amount of snow accumulation.

Yea!  I finally get to cash out today!  It's been taking 2-3 months to get to the $30 mark because I have been so busy for the past few months.

Off-Topic / Ron Cyrus
« on: February 28, 2019, 04:45:01 am »Message ID: 1263748
I was surprised to see Ron Cyrus on the "Died Today" listings on today's Paid To Click.  I knew and worked with Ron many, many years ago when I was working with an engineering firm and he was a a state representative.  I worked with him on new developments coming into Greenup Co., KY.  I knew Billy Ray, also.  I really liked Ron but didn't care a lot for Billy Ray.  He was too cocky and stuck on himself.

Off-Topic / RIP Aretha
« on: August 16, 2018, 07:59:14 am »Message ID: 1233015
Aretha Franklin lost her battle with cancer today.  She shares a death-date with Elvis Presley.  He passed away on this date in 1977.  My daughter's best friend does the best impression of Aretha Franklin singing RESPECT.
