Off-Topic / Home Sold

So from recent posts in February my home was not sold yet. We officially sold it on February 9 2015. It was a cash deal so that was the easy part. The hard part was moving out in a weekend. After the sale we were without a place to live so we stayed with my brother in law. Unfortunately it was for 3 months. We purchased our new home May 8 2015. It's quieter here than where I lived before and most of the people are nice.
I'm glad to be able to get on FC now. My BIL didn't have internet. Oh well.

Off-Topic / House Under Contract

A while back I posted about selling or fixing our house. Well in November we were contacted by a realtor interested in selling our home. So yay! Our home is finally under contract with a cash buyer and we close February 9th. I'm thrilled and scared at the same time because we don't have another home to move into yet, but we'll be staying with my brother in law. I'll miss my house, but not my neighbors that's for sure.

Off-Topic / Bell's Palsy

My mom was very sick last month and then two weeks ago she came down with Bell's Palsy. It's really affecting her in a bad way. She can't blink her left eye and she can't smile. She couldn't eat much because she couldn't swallow, but she can eat now. Her taste buds are off and nothing tastes good. Has anybody dealt with this before?

Here's the thing our home needs $6 - 10,000 dollars in repairs and the neighborhood has turned to crap. Right now we're looking at paying off our home in a year or so. But what if in the meantime we find something we could buy and get the heck out of here? My heart does not want to leave my home to be vandalized if we leave it vacant. What do you think

Off-Topic / Multiple Sclerosis is like a punching bag

I came across an internet article that likened ms to a punching bag. Our daily lives punch at this bag and then one day that bag comes back and hits you back. I've been feeling like the bag has been giving me a beating, but I can't stop living because of this stupid sucky disease. Any thoughts?

My mom told me how to make a good cup of coffee. In the cup add your sugar or whatever you use then add cream and then coffee. It mixes great and I think it tastes better. Does anyone make their coffee like that?  BTW I like my coffee sweet and light. My dh calls it dessert coffee.
