Off-Topic / Re: Do you Know any Introvert People?
« on: April 21, 2013, 07:52:08 pm »Message ID: 724382
I am quiet, but friendly and not afraid to start up a conversation with anyone.  I just prefer to listen more often than speak as I find I learn a lot more that way.  My wife is definitely an introvert and it was quite a challenge to get to get her to open up when we first met 8 years ago.  She is funny, feisty, kind, and has a great personality, but it takes her some time to break the ice with new people and even then she would never be considered gregarious.  I don't prefer to keep company with overly loquacious people who just like to hear themselves speak, however most of my friends are more talkative than myself and that suits me fine.  It appears that my friends are likewise accepting of my more low key personality.

If you subscribe to the daily email and click on that(2 cents) and the daily paid to click(15 cents) you will have 5.10 a month from that alone.  3 dollars a month for posting 30 or more contributory posts and your at 8 dollars without breaking a sweat. :)  I would say that at least 60% of the time I don't qualify the first time I try a survey.  When it asks if you want to try again then by all means try again.  Sometimes it takes 3 or more time to qualify. Eventually it says no more surveys available, but you have a decent chance of qualifying with persistence.  When it comes to surveys think about what kind of person they are looking for and cater to them as much as possible(not saying to fib, but....). For instance an automobile survey is probably more interested in someone who is looking to buy an automobile sooner than later and has the finances to afford various vehicles.....hint....hint...hint.

My parents still have a working Atari. There are probably 50 games with it. I don't remember which one I played first but a few favorites were Pitfall, Circus Atari (with the paddle controllers), Frogger, Freeway, Maze Craze and 1 I don't remember the name of but 1 player was a little pig and player 2 was the big bad wolf. He tried to destroy the house and the pig player had to keep dropping bricks in the holes. Lol. A lot of fun that Old Atari can be. We also had a hand-me-down Nintendo. Of course all 3 Marios were the favorites. And Bubble Bobble. Personal fave.

The game is Oink released by Activision in '83.  It is a fun game. :)

First game I ever played was Pong.  I was born in '74.

I had a Vic 20 and my brother owned a Vectrex.  I have never known anyone else who had a Vectrex.  Honestly, that little thing was awesome!

Vectrex was an awesome system and as I video game collector I can tell you that it is also rare and worth a nice amount.  A Vectrex with controller goes for 150-300 dollars depending on it's condition.

Off-Topic / Re: allergy season

I thought I had a cold the other day as I had a headache, sore throat, nose congestion, et cetera, but I took an allergy pill and all was well again.  I get my allergy medicine at the Dollar Store and get the same, albeit generic, medicine that I would have to pay 10 dollars plus for at the drug store.

Sounds like a great plan, but what company would be willing to sponsor it I wonder?

How 'bout Cadbury? :)  I love Cadbury eggs even though they have really shrunk over the years.

I love yard work as long as it's not weeding or raking.  Both seem to be futile endeavors as the weeds and leaves seem to come back the second your not looking.  I used to plan annuals, but now only plant perennials as it's easier on the wallet.  The only annual I have are potted mums.  I have several blackberry bushes that I planted, but otherwise I don't have vegetable or fruit plants.

Good for him, though with his past his girlfriend should be wary.  I am a fan of all people with exceptional sports skills and seeing Tiger back in his groove is awesome to see.  Having played golf on occasion I have a tremendous appreciation for what he makes look so easy.  Hope he keeps on winning on and off the greens. 8)

I usually get my checks within 2 weeks from the date, the 20th, that FC send out it's payments.  I am well aware that direct deposit would be much quicker, but I can't give up the tangible check in the mail. 8)

So when you cash out does it take 2 months to get your check?

"Disbursement. All payment of rewards is carried out by FusionCash and advertisers should not be contacted regarding this matter. FusionCash disburses payment for the previous month on or around the 20th of each month. If the user chooses to receive a check (available to US members only), he/she agrees to allow up to 10 additional business days for checks to be delivered by the United States Postal Service. Electronic payments are generally fulfilled by the 20th but may be delayed due to circumstances outside FusionCash's control."

Hope this helps.

I can't quite remember what the first video game I played was as I was only about 4 or 5 at the time.  I was born in 78' and the first video game system I played was the Atari VCS(video computer system)/2600.  3 games vie for first in my memory: Frogger, Ghost Manor, or Pitfall.  I still have my Atari and I still play it on occasion.  I clearly remember being in awe when I played Super Mario Bros. on Nintendo the Christmas of 85.  What was your first experience with video games whether in the arcade or at home?

I don't think I'll like windows 8.  I don't want to have to be touching my screen.  I like using a mouse and keyboard.  I have a tablet to use when I want to touch the screen.

I have an all in one desktop computer(no tower) with Windows 8 and mine is not touchscreen.  Perhaps it would be nice to touch the apps on my 23' screen, but it wasn't worth the extra 200 bucks to me.  I am not a fan of Windows 8 and if I don't warm up to it soon I will be removing it and installing Windows 7.

I use a zero turn riding mower so I would definitely say that I prefer to cut the grass over shoveling snow.  I did shovel snow and disperse rock salt this winter and it was quite a work out.

I'm booked on a 8 day Carnival cruise in late August.  My ship is the Freedom and while I don't think this one has broke down yet I'm still very concerned over the rash of Carnival mishaps as of late.  There is always a catch with anything that is "free" even if it's just a high pressure time share pitch that you have to endure.  I am thinking of calling Carnival to say that I'm backing out of my cruise because of recent incidents and see if they offer me any free upgrades to not back out. ;)
