lots and lots of hot lemon and honey tea also orange (fresh) juice and honey. Drinks lots of ginger tea. Bed rest for a coupe of days. I never take otc. med. taste awful and not really good for a person. Also eat light meals like chicken noodle soup. Stay away from milk. It increases the music in your lungs.

Here in New Mexico it has been up and down. cold one day and warm the next and so dry. Have only had 1 snow this year. Not good. The farmers really need the moisture. But as the saying goes here if you don't like the weather wait 15 min.

I am so ready for spring. Love having all those fresh vegs. Nothing taste as good. And you know nothing has been sprayed on them like at the store. Also like canning and drying them for winter also.
Just hope we have some good spring and summer rains. need it to really make a garden grow

Off-Topic / Re: What do you do with a DEFIANT child?
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:19:39 pm »Message ID: 485621
I have a seventeen year old adopted grandson that is so defiant, He thinks that since he is almost 17 he should be able to do whatever he wants. Has been in more trouble then i can list. God bless my daughter-in-law. She has tried everything under the sun and nothing works. My son passed away a little over 10 years ago, and she has had a hard road with him. We do what we can. The law won't let you disapline him, and he knows it. But this is one time He needs some one to really bust his bu## to get his attention. Any suggestions?

Totally believe in prayers. God may not always seem to give what everyone wants but he has his reasons.

Your kids come first. He can go to night school on the nights your not working. Sounds like he wants his cake and eat it too. So the two of you really need to sit down and talk about it. Does he help out with the kids much, or help with the housework. All things must be considered.

I set pretty close to the steering wheel, beause the seats are always too big and can't get as close to the pedals as i like. Donot like to drive with my legs stretched out, not enough control. Oh to be another 3" taller.

I lived in a border town and let me tell you it is a major problem. They pay no medical, have babies get on welfare have more babies. The crime also goes way up and where ever they live starts too look like the county dump. If they want to live here do it the right way. Have no problems with it. here were time i would see as many as 20 trying to slip into the u.s at a time. Thank God for the border patrol, as i lived out in the country and could get scary at times.
