Off-Topic / Re: what do you do for thanksgiving
« on: November 08, 2013, 05:27:55 pm »Message ID: 816035
I have family and close friends over.  We usually eat around 3 pm.  Then the guys usually sit in the great room watching the game, and we sit in the living room talking, laughing, and just having a good time.  It good to be with loved ones and connect for the day.

I used to watch his Bob Newhart show and the one (I forgot the name), when he had an inn in New England.

Having family and a few friends over for dinner.  Should have between 15 to 20 people.

Honestly, Weight Watchers.  I went to the meetings each week, followed the program (always cheated on weekends), and lost 35 pounds and have kept it off over almost two years!

I would love to see him again after all these years.  I wonder what's he's doing, who he married, any kids?  He was my boyfriend most of high school and it's been a lot of years since we saw each other.

Off-Topic / Re: What size is your turkey WoWhooooo!

Going to get mine this weekend.  I'll try to get the biggest one I can find, must be at least 20 pounds.  If I can't find one in the grocery store, there is a turkey farm about 20 miles from our home and you can get any size you want there.  Of course it's much more expensive but if I can't find one in the grocery store I'll go there.

I was in a long distance relationship many years ago.  For a lot of people it works, unfortunately for us it didn't.

FusionCash / Re: Tasks vs Surveys

I do both, but much more surveys.  I will spend a little time on tasks, but I have no desire to spend hours on them, so most of my money comes from surveys.

We eat breakfast and lunch wherever, sometimes in the breakfast nook, or in the family room watching TV, but supper is in the dining room every night, no exceptions!

Debate & Discuss / Home Improvement Call
« on: November 06, 2013, 10:13:48 am »Message ID: 814984
Just called the phone number for Home Improvement pay to call.  You have to be on the line 4 minutes.  I was talking with a girl for 3 minutes then the phone went dead on their part!  Naturally I didn't get paid!

I have to agree with everyone.  There are the many who abuse the system and hurt it for the ones who really need it.  My heart goes out to the elderly who only live on social security.  After they pay their Medicare and supplemental insurance, most times there isn't a lot left.  Most elderly need meds, and the cost of prescriptions can be high.  I know a lot of seniors who only take half their meds and eat once a day because they can't afford more.  With bills like food and heating there's not a lot left.  The only thing these people did wrong was get old.  I can't believe this country with all it's money can't help seniors out better.
